 Thanks for that Linda. This was the first time I heard of that happening ... probably because there were so many anti-american things going on at that time that I stopped paying attention to MSM

 L Linda,

That was truly a video that was uplifting, it was also interesting that it is listed in the 100 most memorable moments in baseball history.

I further noticed that Rick Monday put himself in danger, because the flag could have caught fire as he snatched it off the ground while the two punks were trying to light the lighter fluid soaked American Flag.

It was good to see the other baseball players head for those guys too.

It was also touching to hear Rick Monday say that if rescuing the flag was all he was remembered for after playing baseball so many years was fine with him(paraphrased).

Good video and if you had not posted it I may have never known about it.

T Dawg also has a good topic on a Veteran that recently rescued an American flag being flown UNDER a Mexican flag at a Mexican bar in Reno, Nevada.

Rightfully so, folks like those should be well remembered.

Of course we never saw it before.

Do you really think that this would be on the LSM? Today or in 76?
