Ruler of the Mountain Posts: 1,565 Group: Member Member #102 Joined: December 1, 2006	We didn't watch the emmy's last night, but we heard all about Sally Field on the nightly news. I wondered why. Another "star" making an axse of them self with little time to take a pill, or knowing the PRIDE that goes along with the worry and concern of a son or daughter going off to war. "If mother's ran the world, there would be no war"? I guess "mother's" didn't care when their sons and daughters were killed on 9-11-01, did they? OJ Simpson arrested for 'getting his stuff back'! I hate seeing his face. Senator Craig and his foot tapping escapade ...what a shame! John Atchison (asst. U.S. attorney) and his 'technique' of raping a five year old. (No words can express my disgust). The denial of what General Petraeus has put into perspective for us, and the backlash he's gotten in return. The news makes me crazy at times, and I can't stand it. Don't forget me!! I'll be gone for awhile - two bolts of fabric ...bags to sew for to many foster kids. I've found an addiction! Maybe a way out of my frustration with the news - maybe a small way to make a difference on my own. Take care!

Not a one was ever in the military so they need to keep their darn mouths shuts . If they had been in the military they would not be saying all this crap. Bunch of dysfunctional apes. What I do care about is a little five year old girl. This little girl was fictional, but what about his real victims that he says he does all the time? Unfortunately since Atchison is a US Prosecutor he will probably not be in the general population in prison so he wont get what is truly coming to him!!!!!

You really need to back away from the TV. I CAN'T take that crap any more and no kidding I have only watched the news 3 times since Feb. I feel GREAT! I don't have to see or listen to the CRAP on TV, I don't have to listen to the people sling MUD or CRAP at each other. I feel wonderful. So WHAT OJ was arrested!! Do the crime do the time (about time I say) Sally the NUT JOB will always be that way, WHO CARES she don't rule the world and in fact is not really on the same planets as we are so WHO CARES!! Set back, chill out have some tea, make a nice night gown Just DON'T watch TV. I'll do this for you! and I'm serious. I'll pay you 20 bucks if you stay away from the TV for 7 days and you DON'T feel lie a new woman! 20 bucks is yours if I'm not right. They say 10 days is all you need to create a new habit. SOO your 3/4 of the way there If if's impotent you'll hear about it some way but other wise it's all crap. I saw OJ's face on TV in the chow hall the other day and had to ask my friends "Hey why is OJ on TV again" They gave me a strange look but they told me. Now I kow AND i didn't have to watch the news!

It's not so much about the people I wrote about ...it's more to me, about the downfall of society. It's our media and what they 'think' is important enough to report on, or who is 'important' enough to report about. How long does a story run about a 'winner' on the news, and how long do we hear about a looser?!! Would General Petraeus's report have been watched by 'all' if the Time's made him out to be the hero he is? Nope! Controversy, drama, sex, bias ....it's the stuff the media runs on, and it just keeps on coming. I guess I'm just trying to convey my disappointment. In a Country I am so proud to live in with so many hard working, intelligent, God loving people ...how did we ever come to this? That's all I was trying to say. Keep the twenty!

Well to be honest I have no idea what happened with the General! I guess I'll have to look that up on the Internet BUT your right about the rest! Sex and bad news sells and it's all about the bottom line in the news. At least here in this country. I hear you BUT give it a try! No NEWS! you can watch TV but no news. 2 days!!!!
