trust me there is no stress in my life because of her!  I choose to let people stress me out they don't choose me.  We each have a  choice each and every day.  You can get up and decide to be angry, you can get up and choose to be happy, you can get up and decide I'm going to let others decide how I feel today OR you can make your own choice.  I make my own choice.

I'm simply trying to educate and help her understand not start a fight.

Gary, that's basically the way I do my days also. And late yesterday afternoon, me and the better half sat on the front porch drinking coffee and watching the sun set slowly on the horizon. I didn't know that orange and purple made two compatible colors, but God sure got it right on those colorful sunsets. There's simply more things to life than griping about things that we can't change or have no control over.

Very wise words, James. I am constantly amazed at the beauty God blesses us with. And it seems to always be extra special when we have had a hard day, or facing trials. I look at it as one way God says to us , I'm here and I am with you. I have had it pretty rough lately, and the other day as I was driving to meet with another client I got the feeling that I needed to stop the car. I pulled over, because the feeling was so strong. I got out, walked around the car to check that everything was OK. I happened to look up and over in the field next to where I was parked. There, in the tree line, were 9 of the most beautiful deer I have ever seen. There was a doe with twin fawns, and the fawns were romping around playing. As I watched them, I could feel such peace filling my heart. I know this was a special gift to me from God, and one I sorely needed!

:bf2:

I had 2 fawns 2 years ago elk hunting almost run me over playing. I watched them play tag for about 10 minutes and then they came running my way and almost hit me. She stopped about 5 feet away and looked at me like “WHAT in the world is that?" Then they moved off played some more until their momma called them and off they went!
I was laughing so hard in side I hurt my rib cage. I didn't want to laugh out loud and scare them off BUT man it was fun watching them. YEP peaceful in deed!

The little girl has been found! And she is safe, and is now with her mother. She was found in Las Vegas, and police report that the mother was unaware her child had been sexually assaulted. The police have a name, and are looking for the guy. Still a lot of unanswered questions, but that can wait till later. Important thing is she was found alive and well (at least as well as she can be after what she has been put through!)!

We enjoyed many of the picturesque scenes mentioned here.....and that of some goofy turkeys trying to get a drink of water by some REALLY big water and then try to climb back up the short cliff the jumped down......yep it was funny.

Gary, your comments are what all of us were unable to capture - and have spoken them well.

:D

BA, has an opportunity to get off the BLACK road and leave those that show no RESPECT for our nation's military - case in point General Patreaous - and chose to walk the RED ROAD.

I will spend another wonderful day with my wife, family, friends, veterans and soldiers with a :D

AND THE GREAT NEWS of this child being found! And only hope they find the dirtbag.

Neighbor charged in hanging of girl, 6

By PAUL J. WEBER, Associated Press WriterSat Sep 29, 12:20 AM ET
An apparent stranger to a 6-year-old found hanged in her family's garage was charged with capital murder, authorities said Friday, freshly jolting a community that had been told the main suspect knew the girl.
Pam Gray, who lives behind Hanna Mack's home, said she had seen Shaun Earl Arender walking around the neighborhood after the first-grader's Sept. 10 death. She said she "nearly fainted" when police announced his arrest Friday.
"We'll never be the same here again," said Gray, who has two children, ages 7 and 8. "It could have been our girl. I don't trust anyone now."
Arender, 19, was already in jail on unrelated burglary and drug possession charges. A DNA sample taken from the shirt the girl was wearing was entered into a Texas Department of Public Safety database Wednesday, and it indicated Arender was a possible match, according to the arrest affidavit.
Investigators believe Arender was "in the course of committing or attempting to commit the offense of aggravated sexual assault" against the girl, the affidavit states, but he was not charged with that crime.
Arender was questioned Wednesday, and, according to the affidavit "would not give a statement, but put his head on the table and cried." Two days earlier, he cut himself with a piece of glass while in custody on the burglary charge and was taken to a hospital "because he was depressed," according to the affidavit.
Bond was set at $2.5 million. It wasn't immediately clear if Arender had a lawyer who could comment.
The arrest stunned many because before Friday police had maintained that the boyfriend of the girl's mother was a primary suspect. Asked if Arender's arrest cleared the boyfriend, Navarro County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Mike Cox said only that the investigation was not finished.
Police said Arender lived less than a mile from the Macks' rural home, which is hidden among a web of dirt roads about 65 miles south of Dallas. The girl's family members said Arender did not appear to have had any connection to her.
"As far as we know, this was random," said Sandy Runion, Hanna's grandmother.
Family members have said Dana Mack last saw the youngest of her three daughters sleeping on the couch around 1 a.m. She discovered Hanna's body hanging from the garage rafters hours later, when she was supposed to have been getting ready for school.
According to the arrest affidavit, the girl died "by asphyxiation by a manner and means unknown."
The girl's body was nude from the waist down when police arrived. Among several items reported missing from the home was a pendant necklace that Dana Mack said Hanna always wore.
(This version CORRECTS to affidavit alleging that Arender was planning to sexually assault girl, but he is not charged with that crime.)

CW,

I was out fishing on the lake a few years ago and heard dogs running, it was during hunting season. The next thing I heard a huge splash and spun around to see what happened and here comes a buck swimming toward my boat. The closer he got, the more I started wondering what in the world was I going to do when he got to me. Finally about 15 feet from the boat he swerved off to one side and swam to the other shore and disappeared. The dogs??? They came to the water's edge and wondered where the scent went ...

Yes, Sunshine - REALLY screwed up!

The only comfort that we have is that this young child, and any innocent young child that has been murdered, is with our Savior right now.

TD - thanks for he story. I'll try to fire you off an email of a story that happened in our neck of the woods if I still have it.

I see today that the prosecutor who was the initial object of this posting has committed suicide. His lawyer said it was a shame that all the "good things and hard work" of this man would forever be overshadowed by this incident. I guess that shows his lawyer don't have a lot of working brain cells! My question would be, if this man was such a good and decent human being then what was he doing flying to another state to have sex with a five year old!

HOLY SMOKES HE DID!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Atchison

John David R. Atchison (1954?-October 5, 2007) was an assistant U.S. Attorney in Florida's northern district who gained notoriety when he was arrested for suspicion of soliciting sex from a 5-year old girl.

On September 16, 2007, Atchison was arrested at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport in a sex crime sting operation undertaken by the Macomb County Sheriff's deparment.[1] He was charged with "enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity using the Internet", "aggravated sexual abuse" and "traveling across state lines to have sex with someone under the age of 12".[2] At the time of his arrest, he was carrying presents for his intended victim, including a doll and a pair of earrings. Also in his possession was a jar of petroleum jelly. Following his arrest, he tried to commit suicide via hanging in his jail cell on September 20, 2007. Atchison had been removed from a suicide watch the previous day after assuring his lawyer and a judge that he would not harm himself. He was not injured in the suicide attempt, which another inmate reported about 4 a.m.[3]

On October 5, 2007, Atchison committed suicide in his prison cell.[4]

Atchison was born in 1954 and held both a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and a law degree from Cumberland Law School at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in June 1984[5] and the Georgia Bar in June 1985.[6] Since the late 1980s, he worked in the U.S. Attorney's office in Pensacola, Florida,[2] working on tax and financial crime cases.[7] He was married with three children and lived in Gulf Breeze, near Pensacola.[8]

Amazing how hard I had to look for this even through it was only 4 days old!

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/10/05/...in3338397.shtml

(AP) A federal prosecutor accused of flying to Detroit last month to have sex with a 5-year-old girl committed suicide Friday in his cell in a Milan federal prison.

Assistant U.S. Attorney John D.R. Atchison was found unresponsive, taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 10:17 a.m., Federal Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman Felicia Ponce said.

Atchison, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., was being held in a special housing unit in the prison, about 36 miles southwest of Detroit.

The administrative detention area houses all levels of prisoners, and Atchison had a cell to himself, Ponce said.

An investigation into his death is under way, she said.

He was charged with three felonies, the most serious of which was crossing state lines with intent to have sex with someone under 12. A conviction had carried a minimum of 30 years in prison.

A statement released Friday by his lawyer, James Thomas, said Atchison had “done a lot of good in his life.”

“Unfortunately, he is going to be judged by his most recent charges and what we have read in the media, and not by the goodness, hard work or by the love of his family.”

The statement also said Thomas would file a request to have the case dismissed.

Atchison had attempted to hang himself with a bedsheet last month in a Sanilac county jail, but another inmate alerted guards who stopped the suicide attempt. He later was taken by U.S. Marshals to the Milan prison.

Three days before that suicide attempt, Atchison had assured a judge he would not harm himself. The married father of three was a respected figure who coached girls' softball and basketball in a park a few blocks from his Gulf Breeze home. His office was in Pensacola.

But authorities say he had been communicating with an undercover sheriff's detective from Macomb County, Mich., who was posing online as the fictitious girl's mother and arranged for him to have sex with the child.

He was arrested Sept. 16 at Detroit Metro Airport carrying presents, including a doll and earrings, and sexual materials, officials said.

As a federal prosecutor, Atchison mostly worked on tax and financial crime cases. According to court records, it appears he never prosecuted child sex abuse cases.

... I agree that it is a good thing he killed himself and that it kind of seals his fate. Reading the above article as it tries to sanitize his actions and talks about the love of his family does make me wonder however ... what did he tell his wife was the reason for his trip? Business? Sex with a minor? If his family loved him, he sure had a strange way of returning that love.

So many times TD we are too busy talking even to hear what the Lord has to say.

As a minister of God I have learned to listen for that wee small voice that speaks so loud in my heart.

We serve an awsome God and most folks can't even recognize Him in their lives.
