Tom Tancredo is trying to get Agents Ramos and Compean out of jail by cutting the funding to keep them there. I hope and pray this will work.

I hope it works and Bush's Texas pal Johnny Sutton loses his law license for misconduct of his office just like the jerk that prosecuted the Duke players. |

I just heard on the local radio here that Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter are pushing the ammendment to cut funding to imprison Agents Ramos and Compean. If it passes the Senate, on October 1st there will be no more funding for their imprisonment. I think it would be nice for us to call Tancredo and Hunter and let them know we appreciate what they're doing for these agents. Gilmer Hernandez is serving a one year sentence. |

I keep wondering what will happen if the funding is cut off. Will they be released or what. I've never heard of that before. |

I never heard of it before either. It kind of reminds me of Pelosi wanting to cut the funds for the war, so our soldiers can come home. I hope it doesn't backfire and they make the Agents pay for their own incarceration. |

I want them out of jail . They don't deserve to be in jail. They were only doing their job. I hope and pray they get out of jail and then they get awarded alot of money for the hell they have been through. |

This just in from Grassfire.org Critical Action Item below: Contact Johnny Sutton’s office Tomorrow, July 31, The Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on International Organizations, Human Rights and Oversight will hold a hearing entitled, "The Case of Ramos and Compean: The Across Border Context". The hearing will begin at 2 p.m., and is open to the public, will explore the Mexican government’s role in the prosecution of the two border agents currently serving 11 and 12 year prison sentences. Unfortunately, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton has refused to testify at the hearing. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher said of Sutton's refusal, "The Department of Justice and Homeland Security have done their best to impede our investigation... by not providing documents and now refuse [ing] to send the proper witnesses to account for their decisions. This shows an arrogance and continued disrespect for congressional oversight by this Administration." Action Item--Contact Johnny Sutton’s office I'm appalled by Sutton's actions and complete lack of respect. That is why I'm urging ALL members of our team to contact his office over the next several days to voice your outrage over his actions/inaction. Here is his contact information: 210/384-7400 I want to flood his offices with thousands of angry phone calls over these next several days. Let him know that while he might not want the truth about Ramos and Compean revealed, you certainly do! Thank you for standing with Grassfire to free Ramos and Compean. |
