I think she is an attention getter. I personally would hate to be in her shoes. In fact I would never act the way she did. NO WAY !!!

Yup goodbye and good riddance media whore ...

here's another story on the same subject

Attention Whore

Good-bye America ...you are not the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I sacrifice, I can’t make you be that country unless you want it.

It’s up to you now.

Uhhhh cindy, ya lil' attention whore ... you still don't get it. It was ALWAYS up to US. Nobody wants the country of your ideal, our country is a productive one that can feed the world if need be ... 'your' country is a failure wherever it has existed.

Maybe she would feel better in Syria, Afghanistan or one of the countries that require her to cover that ugly snout of hers and walk behind the men all the time. Better yet, she could move down and live with her buddy in Venezuela. I think he needs her help down there right now as the natives are getting agitated at his way of doing things. :cool dude:

Well, that puts her a notch above most liberals in my book. She is still wrong, but can admit that she took a beating. That takes a lot more than I thought she had.

It don't get any better than this!

We will provide you a complete account of what is taking place later on Friday,
but we wanted to alert all of Move America Forward's members and supporters that
we have launched an effort to acquire the 5-acres of land in Crawford, Texas
that Cindy Sheehan used for anti-war protests.

As part of our plan, we will erect a "Monument to America's Heroes" that will
honor the men and women who served in the war on terrorism - including those who
made the ultimate sacrifice, such as Casey Sheehan (Cindy Sheehan's son).

You can see an artist's rendition of the monument at our website and also watch
for continuous updates on Friday here:

If they don't make her wealthy in buying the property. Now that she knows they want it, she will hold out for top dollar. They should have kept quiet and done the deal through a blind. They are just helping her!

I was under the understanding that a local farmer in the are owned the property and he let the anti's camp out there on his land.

James,

In the beginning it was camping by permission. Sometime later, sheehan and/or the group she had formed or joined actually purchased the land. If memory serves me correctly, it was a small parcel for Texas at about 5 acres.

Shortly after she bought the land, it came under investigation for financial misgivings and poor accounting practices (ie: geeee what happened to that $50,000???). Cindy had been listed as one of the 'officers' of the company and it was thought that she would have to account for the bucks and/or pay the price for the theft of donated monies.

I don't really think that MAF should purchase this land ... after all, GW Bush will only be in office for 2 more years and the protests will stop and who would want to travel to Crawford TX to see a memorial ??? My thoughts would be to let it return to the animals for grazing rights ...

Thanks for clearing that up as I didn't know they had purchased it. You're also right, putting a memorial there might not be a wise choice to put it.

TD,
I was thinking along the same lines. It would take something VERY special to get me to Crawford, Texas.

I am so disappointed in President Bush that I would avoid the place just because he lives there. :garfield:

This is what he is now up to.

Yes Herb, he does tick ya off once in awhile....but I always look back at WHAT we could have instead of him had he lost the election in 2004 - KERRY + A DIMOCRAP HOUSE AND SENATE MAJORITY. There would be nothing but liberalism being passed thru our gov't....higher taxes, limp security, wide open borders + FULL amnesty ( and I mean FULL - no penatlies, no earmarks, just plain "Hey, welcome to Mexamerica - have whatever you want).

Was listening to what he had to say about "Global Warming" today...and he agreed that something must be done, but that it is not JUST up to the US to do it. China, India, and other high output CO2 producers must ALSO contribute to the cause. In other words if we ALL do it together, then the US will participate.

Back to the monument:

Quote:

BULLETIN ISSUED: Tuesday, June 5th - 7:12 PM Eastern: Move America Forward is announcing today its plans to acquire the 5 acres of land in Crawford, Texas that had been used by anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan and her supporters. You can let us know if you support this move by voting in our website poll on the right side of your screen. [A note on the design: The image below is the initial artist's rendition. The final design of the monument will certainly include some changes. One of those would be to address concerns by some that the cross atop the monument somehow excludes recognition of those of varying religious faiths who served in the war on terrorism.]

Move America Forward has retained the services of award-winning real estate agent, Holly Williams, to broker the deal. Once the land has been obtained, Move America Forward plans to erect a “Monument to America’s Heroes” on the property. An artist's rendition of this monument honoring those who served in the war against terrorism can be seen below:

You guys may be right. I like the idea that something GOOD can happen in the end in spite of the garbage that happened...but at what cost will it take to get there.

IMO - if she is REALLY hurting for money, and regrets the dishonor she has done her son (this may be a fat chance, but miracles CAN happen), and see the GOOD that can become of this - maybe she will allow the land to be sold at a FAIR price. You guys are right though - it would have been better to let this fly under the radar a little more to get it a fairer price - on the other hand, they did need to let membership know that their intentions and also drum up $ to purchase it.
