I received this email today from MAF (Move America Forward) and replied back with some suggestions to them: ---------------- I have a couple of suggestions for those of us that cannot make it to the rally..... Grab a plain WHITE T-shirt and write the same thing on it. Heck, even writing it with a wide magic marker will do! Wear it for the day or at least part of it............... Kids - great way to make a statement at school and show your support for the troops..... Print or write on a plain white peice of paper "SURRENDER IS NOT AN OPTION" and tape it to the back seat window of your car (rear view window may block your rear viewing and may not be in compliance with driving law, so be cautious). Time to make a statement that "THEY DO NOT SPEAK FOR "WE THE PEOPLE!!!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Move America Forward<info@moveamericaforward.org> Reply-To: info@moveamericaforward.org To: A PERSON SICK AND TIRED OF LIBERALS TRYING TO THROW IN THE TOWEL Subject: 17th: National "Surrender is Not an Option" Day Date: Sat, 12 May 2007 23:49:10 -0700 This Thursday, May 17th has been declared National "Surrender is Not an Option" Day. To that end, Move America Forward will be sponsoring public protest rallies outside of Senator Harry Reid and Speaker Nancy Pelosi's offices. Senator Reid and Speaker Pelosi are currently leading the despicable effort to undercut both funding and support for our troops serving on the frontlines in the war on terrorism. Here's specific information on the protest rallies and how you can help: * Thursday, May 17, 2007 - Rallies at 10:30 AM Pacific Time Locations: 1) Outside the office of Senator Harry Reid 333 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Suite 8016 Las Vegas, NV 89101 2) Outside the office of Speaker Nancy Pelosi 450 Golden Gate Ave. - 14th Floor San Francisco, CA 94102 We will be gathering outside of the office buildings that Reid's & Pelosi's district offices are held. We ask that participants bring along white "surrender flags" (make a white flag out of any white material/cloth). Blue Star Mom, Deborah Johns, has recommended that we put in black ink/paint on each flag "Surrender is Not an Option" so that it doesn't look like *we* the participants are recommending surrender. More information will be posted to the Move America Forward website. There is also information on how those not near one of Reid's or Pelosi's offices can send a "Surrender Pack" to their office: http://www.MoveAmericaForward.org Also, next week we complete production of our new TV ad targeting Reid & Pelosi's shameless conduct. We are raising money to pay for the production costs of this ad as well as to place the ad on TV stations nationwide. http://www.MoveAmericaForward.org/Contribution |

CW - this is getting ridiculous. From the word 'go', does anyone on capital hill know/remember what this war against terror really means? Asking the same about our media, would ....well, stupid and ignorant is what it is. Pete had a good friend stop in his place the other day with his wife. He had just gotten home after his deployment, and both of them are totally fed up with the media. Whether in the U.S., or fighting the war on terror in (any country), you have to fill out 'paper work' just to have an article or photo be shown ....even if it's good news for us!! A long list of 'red tape'. Where was it when Brittney Spear's hoo-hoo was plastered all over the rags? As far as I see 'surrender' - it's not an option. It might be simple, but what it means to me is that we who still remember and our soldiers, would be surrendering to their own Country (a small part of it), and then what? |

Ali, I was just discussing this with Dawn this morning. Given the escallating threat of Iran (they are enriching uranium much faster than anticipated per IAEA) and the ignorance of the liberals and "sheeple" that wish to follow them, we are in for a MAJOR loss of lives somewhere. If we continue down this route and pull out of Iraq, there is going to be HUGE mess. If I was President Bush, and they put things to a position to force our soldiers out of Iraq, I would say: "Democrats, you have placed the world in this position. What happens from here is in your hands! You cannot put ANY more blame on myself or this adminstration!" We promised the people of Iraq that we would get the job done, and we have let them down. From here - the blood is on your hands" |

It's nothing but the truth CW. It's not only the Democrats who give their less than convicted fairy stories about this war, but the media, too. It's seldom that we hear about the strides our soldiers are making (except when you speak to a soldier). I remember at the beginning of this war, our President said that it would be a long one, and to 'tighten our belts'. We should stay until the job is done. We should stay until our MILITARY decides the job is done. I feel awful when I hear of the death of another one of our soldiers, and I feel awful when I hear about the women and children who are casualties of this war on terror, but ya know, if they lived in a civilized country and not under the thumb of some dictator who let terrorists walk all over everybody, maybe things would have been different. Think about Iran and that thing that's running North Korea. It's a joke ....and the joke's going to be on us if the Democrats and our own media, don't start thinking clearly. |
