Many years ago when I was in high school, we were taught how the government operates. I was always under the assumption from what I learned that we had 3 different branches of government to keep it running smoothly, the Executive branch, the Legislative branch and the Judical branch. I was also taught that each of those branches worked sort of independent of each other. According to what I learned, each branch could not be subpeoned by one of the others just on a fishing expedition. Now since the dims have got in control, I'm seeing in the news almost daily where the Legislative branch is wanting to subpeona the Executive branch members to find out things to use against them. The Executive branch which is the President, Vice President and their Cabinet members from what I understand is immune to stuff like that. The latest is the dims now want to subpeona Condelezza Rice to find out why the war started. Have I been taught wrong or have the dims went way off on a limb trying to push their powers farther than they are supposed to be? |

You're not wrong James. The dems are doing everything they can to hold back the current administration from doing its job. As I've stated before, the dems are experts at arguing over past events instead of trying to move America forward. This latest fiasco (subpoena for Condie) is another attempt to rehash our entering Iraq. Hopefully someone will grow some gonads and blast the dems with a fatal broadside that will do in any and all of their political aspirations. |

I'm beginning to think that there's no-one up there that will call them out. Everyone that has in the past, then they went after them tooth and nail. It's very sad that our congress has turned into a charade. |

I see severe future repercussions from these decisions being made today. I think the President will not be able to be effective at all in the future and the office will hold no power. I, for one, am very worried that they are legally getting away with changing the way the government works.... |
