As you know, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton orchestrated the prosecution of imprisoned Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean. Well, there's another victim of Johnny Sutton -- Gilmer Hernandez, a sheriff's deputy who is now in jail for trying to stop a van-load of illegals who were trying to run him over! Deputy Hernandez' story will be featured this Saturday, Feb 17, 9pm EST on Fox's America's Most Wanted. Go here for background info, more on the TV broadcast and a new petition launched on FireSociety.com by a Grassfire team member supporting Deputy Hernandez: http://www.firesociety.com/article/10121/?src=111 |

Thanks for posting this AMM. I'm so glad they're airing this on America's Most Wanted. Maybe if enough people see what's going on something will be done about it. I tried to sign the petition but the link didn't work for me. |

I watched it last night and I think it's a terrible thing that's being done to our Border Partol Agents and Sherrif Deputy Gilmer Hernandez at the hands of U.S. Attorney Sutton. It seems to me that he is pleased to do Mexico's bidding for her. He said that the police in America are the good guys and when the police start committing crimes they will be arrested. Committing Crimes! I don't see any "crime" they committed. They were doing there jobs and now they're in jail. So now we have emboldened the drug cartel and the human smugglers in Mexico to come here, and if they get hurt while committing their crime of entering the United States illegally, and assaulting our officers, they can sue the United States and have our officers imprisoned. We have to keep the pressure on the President to pardon these men and make some changes to our policies quickly! |

More about Johnny Sutton the U.S. Attorney that seems to have made a big mistake in prosecuting the two Border Patrol agents. I haven't registerd with FireSociety and signed the petition yet, but I will. We need to prune out all these government officials that are using their position as a means of trying to make themselves look good at the expense of innocent people. ++FireSociety petition to remove Johnny Sutton ++Exclusive interview with 4th Sutton victim As you may know, the breaking news this week on the Ramos and Compean case is that Johnny Sutton intentionally withheld the fact that the drug smuggler got caught smuggling a second load of marijuana worth about $1 million right before this case went to trial. Grassfire is joining members of Congress in calling for a mistrial and the immediate release of Ramos and Compean. We also believe it's time for Sutton to be removed. A Grassfire team member just started a petition on FireSociety.com that calls for Johnny Sutton's removal. There are only a few thousand signers right now, but I'd like to see that petition grow to the tens of thousands. + + Action Item: Sign petition to Remove Sutton! If you agree that Johnny Sutton has gone too far in this and other cases, then please sign this FireSociety petition. Two easy steps. + + Step #1 -- Sign up at FireSociety If you have not yet signed up at FireSociety, please go here and register (it takes about two minutes): http://www.firesociety.com/registration?src=111 + + Step #2 -- Sign the FireSociety petition Once you have registered, you can sign the petition by simply clicking the "Sign The Petition" graphic here: http://www.firesociety.com/article/10267/?src=11 + + My interview with Sutton's 4th victim Finally, please take a few moments to listen to my interview with Gary Brugman -- yet another border agent who suffered the prosecutorial wrath of Johnny Sutton. Brugman recently spent two years in jail for violating the "civil rights" of an illegal. This story is just as outrageous as the Ramos/Compean saga and sheds even more light on the dangerous pattern from Sutton. Go here to listen to the interview: http://www.firesociety.com/blog/100/ElliottBlog/?src=111 Go here to read Grassfire's news release: http://www.firesociety.com/blog/107/?src=111 Thanks so much for the stand you are taking! |

Radio hosts lead charge to free Ramos, Compean INVASION USA Radio hosts lead charge to free Ramos, Compean D.C. rally to hold lawmakers' 'feet to the fire' over agents' imprisonment Posted: April 6, 2007 1:00 a.m. Eastern By Jerome R. Corsi © 2007 WorldNetDaily.com Dozens of radio talk-show hosts from across the nation are uniting with an immigration group for a Capitol Hill rally to pressure Congress to defeat an illegal alien amnesty bill, protect the border, and support the Border Patrol, including imprisoned former agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. Texas radio talk-show host Edd Hendee, working with colleagues such as Roger Hedgecock and Howie Carr, wants the agents to be freed and the prosecutor, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, fired. The "Hold Their Feet to the Fire 2007" rally is planned for April 22-25 by the Federation for American Immigration Reform in Washington, D.C. The rally will include 19 straight hours of talk-show broadcasting by various hosts. Ramos and Compean are in federal prison serving 11 and 12 year sentences for their actions in the shooting of a drug smuggler, Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila-Aldrete, as he fled back to Mexico after driving across the border with a load of 742 pounds of marijuana in February 2005. Sutton gave the smuggler use immunity to serve as the government's star witness and testify against the border agents. Hendee's call to remove Sutton comes after news of the arrest of Cipriano Ortiz-Hernandez, the stash house operator involved in a second drug smuggling attempt Aldrete-Davila made, after being given immunity. "When a U.S. attorney allows a Mexican national like Ortiz-Hernandez to operate a drug stash house without being arrested for almost two years, there's no excuse," Hendee told WND. "It's a clear dereliction of duty on the part of Johnny Sutton." Hendee pointed out it's now known that millions of dollars worth of marijuana went through Ortiz-Hernandez's home in Clint, Texas, over a two-year period. "Ortiz-Hernandez should have been indicted and arrested so his whole operation could have been busted up and put out of business, long before Aldrete-Davila showed up to drop off his second 'October load,'" Hendee said. Hendee hosts a morning show on KSEV in Houston and KVCE http://www.kvceradio.com/ in Dallas–Fort Worth. The radio host said he's asking listeners to call their representatives and urge the lawmakers "to go on record and call immediately for Sutton's removal." Hendee said he intends to poll the Texas congressional delegation and interview them on the radio. The trial transcript in the Ramos-Compean case shows prosecutors successfully sought to have Judge Kathleen Cardone seal all information about Aldrete-Davila's second drug bust from the jury, despite defense arguments that the information about that incident – as documented in Department of Homeland Security and Drug Enforcement Administration investigative reports – went to the heart of the smuggler's credibility. "This is clearly an issue we intend to bring before the voters," Hendee told WND, "and the voters have a right to know where their elected representatives in Washington stand on the issue of firing Johnny Sutton." Bob Dane, spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, told WND the rally plans to host a 5 a.m.-to-midnight continuous radio row broadcast from the Phoenix Park Hotel in Washington. "We're planning to hold the largest media immigration event of the year," Wade said. "Most talk show hosts are coming to town to say 'No' to amnesty." FAIR has created a Border Patrol Family Fund, called "Defend Those Who Defend Us," for Ramos and Compean. The fund will be split between the two families at the rally banquet April 24. Among the broadcasters scheduled to attend the FAIR rally are: Hedgecock, KOGO-AM, San Diego Carr, WRKO-AM and syndicated, Boston John and Ken, KFI-AM, Los Angeles WND columnist Les Kinsolving, WCBM-AM, Baltimore Janet Parshall, Salem Radio Network Armstrong Williams, WWRL, New York Phil Valentine, Westwood One, Nashville Accuracy in Media notes some of the biggest names in conservative talk radio are missing and urges listeners to contact Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck and Michael Reagan to see if they plan to attend or give the event publicity. |
