I heard Michael Savage report this yesterday. Isn't it something how the MSM won't mention it was a Muslim. They just called it a random act of violence committed by an 18 year old man. Some Religion of Peace! Thank God for Officer Ken Hammond and the other officers who exchanged fire with this POS! |

Remember this, the media is not interested in people knowing the truth if it doesn't fit with their PC spin and agenda. It is the same thing as when the Muslim gunmen entered a Jewish synogogue in Oregon just a few months back and committed random killings, does anyone remember this. Most people probably didn't even here about it because it got so little coverage. We are being dooped there is no question about that. My question is how do they figure they benefit from obscuring the truth? unless they are afraid everybody would figure out that all this garbage about Islam bein a religion of peace that they been feeding us for the last 10 years is a bunch of hooie.

After the cops had killed this turkey and reported he was a young 18 year old man but not his name, I told folks in the office that they were protecting some muslim scum. Here was yet ANOTHER reason for concealed carry that possibly would have saved lives. |

Thank God for the off duty Ogden Officer that shot him down or it probably would have been more wounded or killed. Conceal carry ought to be a national law. I have had mine four years and have had to display it once to stop a would be attacker ( the guy came at me and I through my jacket back where he could see it and said calmly, you don't really want to do that and he made tracks) Since concealed carry in this state people are more safe and that is a fact. I expect to here about more of these random attacks in the coming days. American Jihad brought to you by your friendly neighborhood Muslims.

Here is somethin that might have slid under ya'll's radar: ]Utahns to join in war protest The Salt Lake Tribune Article Last Updated: 01/24/2007 01:08:10 AM MST ]While hundreds of thousands - including Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson - gather in Washington on Saturday to protest President Bush's plan to send more troops to Iraq, thousands more will gather across the nation to do the same, including in Utah's capital. ]We the People for Peace and Justice, the group that orchestrated the anti-war rally last August when President Bush was in Utah, is organizing a "stop funding the war, bring the troops home now" event at the Main Library's auditorium at 2 p.m. ]Scheduled speakers include writer Terry Tempest Williams; Kim Spangrude of Military Families Speak Out; Rick Miller of Veterans for Peace; Iraqi war veterans Larry Cannon and Marshall Thompson; Theresa Martinez, a University of Utah professor; Dee Rowland, a government liaison for the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City; Kyle Wulle, an officer of the Steelworkers Union; and Anwar Arafat, president of the U.'s Muslim Student Association. my comment: Maybe if the good Mayor of Salt Lake City had been a little more worried about the City that gave an oath to protect instead of gettin his pic taken at a Anti-War Rally in D.C. , then maybe thangs wouldnt have turned out like they did.. I just wonder if this is gonna keep him from goin to D.C. and gettin to kiss the hand of Hanoi Jane ?? |

Almtnman and Wild Bill, Thanks for the info. I would like to say this; Leftist liberals and those that fall for their propaganda are among the best friends terrorists have. I say what he did is a "terrorist act" just the same as if he was wearing a suicide murder bomb. Wonder if he has shook hands with Saddam and Saddam's brother, or Ouday and Goosie Saddam's bad sons yet? I think he was as suprised as they were, when they found out Allah wasn't the one in charge of things and I don't really think any of them are in the mood to shake anyone's hand! "No virgins for you!"-soup nazi from Seinfeld The sad thing is that yet more innocent people have died on American soil and still the leftwing socialists hate others so badly that they are still willing to carry on their lies. I guess they'll try to blame that on Pres. Bush also, if not they'll blame everybody else , but their friends the terrorists. Thanks, Duke |

Wild Bill, I liked them too, but I would have said something a little more family friendly in the last one, but I sure understand the message. Of course a few folks have let it be known that I am not much of a good example to our young folks. ![]() Not a big deal, just one word, that's all. I do want you to know I would pull a trigger on Bin laden or drop a bomb on him, if I could, of course not being in the Military, I would probably be hauled off to jail in the environment this country has come to be in by some. That said, I must remember the impeach Bush crowd and know that even if/when our Military does get him, they will have to face the leftist for doing it, what a sad sad bunch of s they are. Thanks, Duke |

With all due respect, I fail to see the significance of his "Muslim" ties. I could site hundreds if not thousands of killings throughout the history of the United States committed by "Christians". Do you think that his being Islamic was what drove him to kill innocent people? Was he on some sort of Jihad? I am not trying to be sarcastic, but I am actually wanting to know why his Islamic heritage has anything to do with what he did.

Naw, BJD, I think it was probably his scout leader. Maybe he lost a video game. Something. Certainly not because he was part of a religious sect that has sworn to kill everyone who isn't one of them! How in the world could it have been that. How insensitive of these buffons to even think so. You know that he doesn't want a bunch or virgins. What teenaged boy ever wants anything like that? |

http://www.jihadwatch.org/ On mentioning religion A few days ago I wrote this about the Salt Lake City shooter: This story confirms that Talovic was a Muslim -- which of course we already knew, for if he had been a Christian the mainstream media would not have failed to take prominent note of that fact. Many people took issue with this, saying that Christians murder people in America all the time, and their religion isn't noted, and that it shouldn't be noted anyway unless it had something to do with the crime. And of course this is true in regard to murders committed by Americans, but I stand by my assertion that if Talovic had been a member of Bosnia's Christian minority, that fact would have been noted in mainstream media reports. And today comes evidence of that fact from another case, "Three women found bludgeoned to death in Chicago," a report from AP (thanks to Aunt Bea): (CHICAGO) -- Three women were found bludgeoned to death with a hammer in two apartments on the city's far North Side, and police had a suspect in custody Sunday.... They also found a man hitting himself on the head with a blunt object, apparently trying to kill himself, police spokeswoman Monique Bond said. The 56-year-old man was hospitalized in police custody and was in fair condition early Sunday, authorities said.... Authorities did not release the name of the victims, but neighbors and friends identified two of the women as Karmin Khooshabeh, 44, and her stepsister, Karolin Khooshabeh, 40. They said the third victim was their 60-year-old mother.... Estrepaniance said the family was Assyrian Christian, a minority group in Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria. He said he and his former wife had fled Iran in 1995, fearing persecution for their faith. Her parents came to the United States about four years ago, and the family arranged for Karmin Khooshabeh and her husband to immigrate about three months ago, he said. Chicago's Assyrian community -- about 100,000 -- is one of the largest in the country. Now compare that to this initial AP report about the Salt Lake mall shootings: "Police: Teen Shot Mall Victims at Random," by Jennifer Dobner. All we learn about Sulejman Talovic beyond his name is that he was a "trench coat-clad teenager" who lived with his mother. Now, when people point out that the religion of nominally Christian murderers isn't noted in news stories, and that Talovic's religion should therefore not have been either, they are assuming that in both instances religion played no factor in the killing, and was hence an irrelevant detail. However, while it is extraordinarily unlikely that the Khooshabeh killed his victims in the name of Jesus Christ, or would attempt to justify the killings by reference to Christ's teachings, it is at very least a possibility that Talovic, like so many others around the world every day, as well as other lone jihadists in the U.S. like Mohammad Reza Taheri-azar, killed in the name of Allah and with justification from the Qur'an and Sunnah. That's why Talovic's religion at least merits a mention, and some investigation. But AP has it exactly backwards, identifying Khooshabeh's Christian faith but not Talovic's Islamic faith. This is just another manifestation, of course, of the fog of suicidal political correctness in which we all live and move and breathe. AP, like almost everyone else, cannot conceive of Christians as anything other than evil, and of Muslims as anything other than victims. Facts that don't fit this paradigm are consigned to oblivion.
