A well written scenario on what could be "the mark". Who knows?

I will NEVER (yes, I used the word NEVER) allow a chip to be implanted....I will move first. without a doubt.....I love this country - but I will not agree to that.

This is the stuff nightmares are made of! I've seen a commercial for a chip being implanted in dogs....Bud said 'No'. He doesn't even wear a collar! (His rabies tag is in my jewelry box!) But ya know....it kind of makes you wonder what's happening with 'smart' people these days (like that astronaut lady who tried to kidnap/kill another lady)
......and of course, the Democrats. It sure makes you wonder where all the nonsense is coming from!

To Late, they have already tried out this micro-chip tech on a family in Florida that volenteered to try it out. They are selling this on the basis that if a loved one is kidnapped or has alziemers that they can be tracked and found. They have increased the capacity of this chip to hold financial and other personal info and made it small enough to be inserted with a hypadermic needle. Welcome to the age of the Anti-Christ :starwars:Micro Chip": Injected under the skin. Size: 1/20 of a grain of rice. Holds 20,000 pages.

Today's technology is controlling the movements of millions of animals using these microchips.
- Canada has approved it for cattle.
- The European Community requires all livestock be implanted with micro chips.
- In Colorado Springs and other cities of America micro chips are replacing dog and cat tags.

- Chip implants are already in use by humans, such as kidnap prone executives, PC Computing October 1999 (08-31-1999)

They have not been putting them into people as a rule. They don't need batteries. They have a little coil, and a pre-programmed number, all encapsulated in glass. This can be inserted under your skin with a special hypodermic needle. It won't get infected, and you would hardly know it is there. But scanning devices will know it's there. It could be used to tie into your bank accounts, or whatever they want to do with it. In the future, they could perfect this so that it can actually be your smart card.

When the chip comes it will not be forced on anyone. It will be a necessary item that a person cannot do without. The bible says that you cannot buy or sell without it. Then there will be a time for decision.

The chip will not be forced on a person but the need for it will cause the person to accept it if they are not careful.

With current technology, I see this as just an extension of the fingerprint and DNA. Just an ID that is easy to read. To date, there are no RFID chips that actually radiate and the detector has to be very close to read them. All that is embedded in the chip is a number. The data is all held on central computer systems and to the extent that it has been developed from credit card purchases, financial transactions, internet activity, medical files, Drivers licensing, government and volunteer service, etc. already exist and is avaliable to anyone who wants to out the money to get it. There is a lot of panic over this issue, but it is really nothing new except the ID marking technology. We had a big debate over this on CDB and it hasn't changed. If you really want to fight something, fight the enormous data collection activity that is ongoing and intense. Right to privacy - don't kid yourself!

I don't think it is a matter of do we fight it or we don't fight the gathering of the info like condor said they already have massive computer banks full of information on all of us. You can know all this info on someone but if you can't locate them it doesn't do you alot of good. The chip will change all this, the authorities will have the power to track you down no matter where you try to hide The trick is going to be not allowing the chip to be implanted. The Bible says in this time that no one will be aloud to buy or sell without this mark (and the chip is more than likely this mark) Big Brother will become a stark reality. We only think it is bad now and we have no privacy and we have lost allot. We have been lulled into it though and no one seems to realize how far it has gone. Its kind of like I heard a preacher say one time. If you take a frog and drop him in to a pot of boiling water he will hop out but' if you put him in and heat the water slowly he will set there and cook to death. I think if people don't know what the bible says they will accept this chip implant with open arms . Especially if it makes their life a little easier and it will for awhile no more keeping up with cash, credit cards,Drivers license or a birth certificate. How much invasion of privacy have we already put up with in the name of convenience. We give out credit card and other personel info on the Internet (hey we know thats safe) and the telephone. We tell people we don't know where we live to deliver stuff we could go out and get. We are selling our privacy and unknowingly our freedom for convenience and it won't be that big a stretch for most people to take this chip. :thinking about it:
