When is the Administration going to get off its butt and pardon these guys?! What is it going to take---one of them getting beaten to death?! :hammerhead:

Enough is enough! Just because the Federal Government is not willing to take a stand against illegals pouring into our country is no reason to punish these agents for DOING THEIR JOB!!! I guess the Say No To Drugs campaign of a few years back doesn't apply to illegal scum sneaking across our borders! :gun2:

This is outrageous. They protect child molesters better in prison. I can't believe this is happening to those two agents who put their lives on the line for us everday.
I saw Sean Hannity interview President Bush last week and he asked the President if he was going to pardon them. President Bush said they're going to do their time!
I hope with our help that Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo can put enough pressure on the president and the congress to get them pardoned and at the very least to keep them safe while they're incarcerated.

Just a little while ago I heard Tom Tancredo on the Michael Savage show talking about this situation. He said that Agent Ramos requested to be put in the general population so that his he would be able to get visits from his family more often. If he was in protective custody he would only get to see them once a month.

He also said that over 100 memebers of congress have signed on to ask the President to pardon the agents, none of which were Democrats, surprise, surprise.

Tom Tancredo is not going to stop trying to help these men and neither should we.

I've forgotten, is it right is wrong, or wrong is right ? Hard to keep track of these days.

Have you seen that the testimony that convicted these two agents was found out to be false and that there were nine other agents in the vicinity when this incident happened. Everyone needs to petition congress for the freedom of these two agents

I put this on another thread, but I guess it can go here too.

I don't understand why President Bush is for granting what amounts to amnesty to the 12 million illegal aliens that are in this country but he won't grant these two agents a pardon. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Imprisoned Border Agent Ignacio Ramos was assaulted and beaten in prison Saturday night following the airing of America's Most Wanted, Ramos family members confirmed to Grassfire.org yesterday afternoon.

Agent Ramos told his wife, Monica, that he was kicked multiple times by up to five men with steel-toe boots, shouting profanities in Spanish and saying "Kill the Border Agent." The family reported to us that he had extensive injuries, was bleeding from the ear and may not have received medical attention for up to 48 hours.

The story was first posted on Grassfire's new FireSociety community. Go here for details, including my interview last night on L.A.'s flagship ABC radio station with Al Rantel:

Action Item: Call the White House

We must draw a line in the sand right here -- these border agents are in mortal danger because our government took the side of an illegal alien drug runner. Nacho Ramos is in a prison full of illegals who understand this is a war and will stop at nothing to strike back against him and against our nation.

I am asking you to call the White House today, express your outrage and demand that the President pardon these two men.
Two numbers -- call them both:

There were 9 Agents on the scene and none filed a report because it wasn't required.

INVASION USA
Border Patrol supervisors implicated by agency memo
DHS document says none of 9 officers present officially reported incident

A Department of Homeland Security internal memo discloses seven Border Patrol agents and two supervisors were at the scene of the shooting for which officers Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean are imprisoned.

The previously unpublished report's indication that supervisors were on the scene could explain why Ramos and Compean did not file a report of the Feb. 17, 2005, shooting incident on the Texas border with Mexico, about 40 miles east of El Paso. Moreover, the DHS document says all who were on location, including the supervisors, were "as guilty as those who committed the offense" because of their failure to report misconduct.

The second full paragraph of the DHS memo filed by DHS Special Agent Christopher Sanchez April 12, 2005, states:

Investigation disclosed that the following BP agents were at the location of the shooting incident, assisted in destroying evidence of the shooting, and/or knew/heard about the shooting: Oscar Juarez; Arturo Vasquez; Jose Mendoza; David Jacquez; Lance Medrano; Lorenzo Yrigoyen; Rene Mendez; Robert Arnold; and Jonathan Richards.

Here's more information on the case against Agents Ramos and Compean. There seems to have been pressure from the Mexican government to charge them.
