A week ago I realized that my bank had not sent my bank statements since September. Apparently they switched to online statements only, unless you want to pay $5 per statement. After calming down and several emails to them, I finally signed up for the online statements. Today I've spent a good deal of time balancing my checkbook. I had it balanced to the last statement (January) but the current total is off by sixty cents. I've spent the last hour adding and comparing the actual bank site, my quicken account, and my checkbook. The bank and my quicken account match ... my checkbook doesn't. However, I've even gone back and totaled all sites for the last two months ... they all add up and match their given totals. The difference is in my favor so I just may close the books for now and go have a beer ... or 2 ... or 3 ... or 4 ....

I wish this difficulty was because my calculator couldn't handle such large amounts but unfortunately matchsticks can work for me ... siiiigggghhhhh

... or 5 ... or 6 ... or 7 ... or 8 ... :cb13: :two-cents: :bye: :violin:

Hey mouse, you wanna come up to VA and find my .60 cent??? :cheer:

That's just wrong - you have to get an online statement? Unless you pay? That's ridiculous. What about the elderly who don't have computers or the poor who can't afford a computer or internet connection?

Barri Sue,

Those are good points that I didn't think of when writing my emails. I believe more and more businesses are doing this lately in attempts to cut down on costs. I'm not sure what they are doing about those situations ...

But after one round with Budweiser
I caught my boots tapping along with the beat
And After two rounds with Budweiser
The band was sounding pretty darn good to me

Then some stranger asked me to dance
and i revealed to her my two left feet
Said "Don't get me wrong, im glad you asked,
But tonight's about beating an old memory

Then after Three rounds with Budweiser
I let her lead me out on the floor
And after Four rounds with Budweiser
I was showing off moves never seen before

Well, round five or round six
I forgot what I came to forget
After Round seven, Or was it eight?
I bought a round for the whole dang place

And after nine rounds with Budweiser
They were counting me out and i was about to give in
Then after ten rounds with Budweiser
I lost count and started counting again

I'd move my money, after I told them why. I'm not even sure they can't be legally compelled to send you a paper statement anyway.

I think rockguy might be right - maybe the attorney general is an option.....
