I read that news item and what I gained from it was the global warming is caused by fossil fuel plants and vehicles burning fuel and that people are causing it. So in essence, I guess those global warming wackos want us all to buy warm clothes, more blankets to sleep under and walk to work. <_< |

Global warming has nothing to do with science it is a political scam to give foreign governments control of our economy. If all you do to stop it is laugh about how silly it is you may wake up to find an 800 lb gorilla sitting on your chest. |

if it is caused by mankind, it is caused by the huge numbers of population that are lliving today. You never see anyone who is concerned about global warming mention the need to manage the number of kids that are concieved except when they want to abort them. |

Matt, at Blackfive, said that he is/was interested in Meteorology and attended a Convention about the time that this graph started takin a BIG jump in temps.. He explained that THAT is when Recording Stations changed from the old Mechanical Thermometers to the new Electronic Digital ones.. Sounds plausible to me that it aint the ACTUAL TEMP that has changed, but the method of MEASURIN that temp !! Just remember that all the Global Warming HYPE is over 1.33 degrees C.. And that is just about on coarse with the trend since the LAST ICE AGE !! Its all just a gimmick to scare more money out of the TAXPAYER to support a bunch of liberal academics that work in institutions that LIVE OFF grants and programs funded by the Fedal Gubmint.. But dont worry none, cause we will be back to the MANTRA of GLOBAL DEEP FREEZE again soon like it was about 10 or 15 years ago.. The Sun is predicted to go into a period of reduced activity in the next few years that will reverse the warmin trend.. In the meantime, dont be so quick to buy into the Snake Oil Pitch that would put the U.S. Economy into a nose dive !! |

Thanks for this info, too! So much great info shared on this board! Yep, you can read it a mile away - we will have a record cold year this year, and they will be screaming "Deep Freeze" caused by CO2 emissions, the next stage of the "Global Warming". I tell ya right now, it would be darn hard to convince me the globe is warming. It's a friggin minus six degrees out in the sun right now!

I'm for one not buying into their pitch. I keep wondering why this global warming always comes up during the coldest part of winter. And BTW Wild Bill, I just love the way you spell Fedal Gubmint! I need to add those words to my dictionary as I like them better.

Its a tragic flaw that I possess.. Disrespect for unAuthority !! You know, those people that paid more attention in English Class in school than I did cause I was usually checkin out the short skirt on the new gal in class that just moved to town from some big city.. They command no Official Tittle, but consider it their mission in life to constantly correct others for any miss spellin or manglin of the Vernacular.. Whenever I get a chance to poke a fanger in their eye, I try not to pass it up.. The Grammar Police are an Institution that severely grates on my nerves.. That bunch belong to a sect of hypocrites that would chastise us for usin words and language thats been around longer than this Country has, yet, would advocate such nonsense as Ebonics in the Public School System !! A few years ago our local Paper put together a book of uncommon words and their desriptions .. I contributed to it myself !! But I must admit that I DID mispell Fedal Gubmint.. The proper spellin would be : Fedal Guubmint.. To say it you have to duck your head slightly and stick your chin out just a bit when you pronounce the "UU" in it .. To accent it even more, you can tilt your head to the LEFT side just a little when you say the "Fed" part of it too.. Try it..

Reminded me of a buddy of mine who now lives in Florida. He was in court here in VA one day and kept objecting to the court. The judge finally told him, "Mr Lowe, one more word out of you and I will find you in contempt of this court" Bill replied, "Judge, that would be the first correct decision you made today" Surprisingly the judge did NOT throw him in the slammer. |

The worst thing that ever happened to Africa was home rule. Most of the nations were pretty nice before that, now they are ruining farms, hosting militants, killing people, rape is common place, cutting off of hands was epidemic for several years, but most of the rulers are stinking rich! |

No Global Warming, HUH??? Hmmmmm'm! I wonder what their going to call Glacier National Park, come along about the year 2030. Maybe they will have a Nation wide contest to re name the park. I wonder who the winner will be? And I wonder what they will call it?? How about just "Park"! Or how about "Mountain Park". That sounds appropriate!! SwanJ.... Dung Disturber! MANY GLACIER, Mont. -- When naturalists first hiked through Glacier National Park more than a century ago, 150 glaciers graced its high cliffs and jagged peaks. Today there are 35. The cold slivers that remain are disintegrating so fast that scientists estimate the park will have no glaciers in 30 years. Boulder Glacier, once massive enough to contain a human-dwarfing ice cave, was gone by 1998. Grinnell Glacier, beloved by tourists and scientists alike, has lost 90% of its volume since 1850. |

It's not over here in my neck of the woods either. I've been wearing a heavy coat and hat for two weeks now and still stay cold. Before deer season closed here, I sat down on the side of the mountain and the wind and cold was making my eyes water so bad, I like to not found my way back home. brrrrrrr

Breaking from NewsMax.com Gore Won't Behave By Senate Rules The following release was posted Tuesday night to the web log of Senator James Inhofe: From behind the scenes on Capitol Hill: Former Vice President Al Gore, despite being given major preferential treatment, has violated the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee’s (EPW) hearing rules. Gore first demanded to be granted an unprecedented 30 minute opening statement to the Senate EPW Committee for Wednesday’s (March 21) global warming hearing scheduled for 2:30 pm ET. The GOP minority on the EPW committee agreed to the 30 minute opening statement. But then Gore demanded a waiver of the EPW committee’s 48 hour rule that requires all witnesses before EPW to submit their testimony in advance. The GOP minority on the EPW committee then agreed to waive the 48 hour rule in favor of allowing Gore to submit his testimony 24 hours before the hearing. But in a breaking news development on Capitol Hill, the former Vice President has violated the new 24 hour deadline extension by failing to submit his testimony — even with the new time extension granted to Gore. As of 8pm ET Tuesday evening, the testimony still has not been received by EPW, a clear violation of committee rules. The word on Capitol Hill says not to expect Gore’s testimony to the Senate EPW committee until Wednesday (March 21) — the day of the hearing. It appears that Gore does not believe the same rules apply to him that apply to every other Senate EPW witness. The question looms on Capitol Hill: Is Gore delaying the submission of his testimony until the very last moment because he fears it will give members of the EPW committee time to scrutinize it for accuracy? ********************************************************* Rules don't apply to the dems and Gore - but the have issued subpeonas for Rove and other Bush aides about the firing of 8 US Attorneys!!!!!!! Unbelievable. |
