Hell-o there

Here is something that you might be interested in. I have tried this, so I know it works, and I had fun doing it.

With our Air National Guard unit having as many deployments as it has, I wondered if there was any one out there that might be interested in taking care of a pet while the military member is deployed. I took care of a nice old dog, who had a lot more fun with me than she would have had she been put in a kennel.

I would imagine that if you live near an Air Force Base or any other type of military base and wanted to set up something like this, there may be and interest on the base. Remember sometimes there are reasons that the member being deployed needs help with their pet. Being single is a good reason. The pet might be a fish, or a dog, or anything else one loves and would be so happy if you took care of it for them while they are away.

I don’t know what papers you might want to have signed, such as any limited liability should something happen to the pet while in you care, but the base legal office should be able to help in this case...

I am going to ask the base paper if they will run something in the paper to get an idea on how many folks we might have that this would be an interest to.

Please let me know if you might be interested in being a care giver to a pet while their owner is doing their duty somewhere away from their home station for a period of time.

Wish I could Condor but I'm a gozillion miles from any base dang it.

I can imagine what it would mean to a serviceman or woman to know their best buddy or gal is in safe hands.
Now that's the way to help out those who go down the Valley for us - yep that'd sure get ya extra points in heaven.
Can't do it myself but I'd chip a few pesos to help out any who did.

Yessir, that's a good thing.
