My wife called me from work this morning and told me to grab my camera and head out to the entrance to our community. Seems the teens have done their thing over night.

This is normally a fountain with about a 40 foot wide waterfall ... guess someone was missing a wintry scene

You know, I wish all the kids now adays stick with soap in fountains and TP a house, rather than street racing and drive-by shooting...

FYI, the yellow rubber ducks have been done already. I've seen that on the local news a while back, hundreds of them floating on some public pond. :D

I agree with ya although I was street racing quite a bit in my younger days. Had to go to court once for doing 140 in a 35/Racing ... cost me a bundle and my license for 30 days.
But it does seem like each year we lose too many young men and women to accidents caused by racing. Not to mention the innocents families who are involved in the wrecks when they happen. It is sad, indeed.

Tha's funny about the rubber ducks in the pond. Each 4th of July, Fredericksburg VA has a duck race where people can 'sponsor' a rubber duck for $1. Then during the festival, they will dump literally thousands of lil' yellow rubber duckies into the Rapahannock river and let them float downstream. The sponsor of the winning duck wins some kind of prize. Lotta fun!!!

yeah, it's one thing racing on a deserted road out there, it's different when racing on the freeways just before rush hours, or on crowded surface streets... <_<

There are a couple of street racing clubs here. They are pretty organized. It is illegal, but sort of nod and wink for the law. Seldom hear of anything happening that is bad to anyone. They pick a road way out of town and close it off and do their thing for an hour or so. If anyone comes along and needs to traverse the road, they shut down until the driver is out of the area. They put a lot of money into the souped up street cars and they display the good side of the hobby. Eh, when they don't steal their parts.

Back in the 60s, we would go to an industrial park after hours and race behind the warehouses. Fairfax County police would often stop by and watch ... and sometimes they would line up against us for a run or two.

Times have changed ...

Sad thing is that where we live if they caught the kids that did that they'd be charged with a felony cause it costs so much to clean it all up. Someone wrong in the world when kids can't be kids anymore. Does anyone really care that there are suds in the fountain? Not worth a kids record with a felony.
