I don't have a scanner to post pictures and the one ya'll have seen of me was 12 years ago . Rick and I have both changed. My hair is long and Rick has a really short haircut. Both of your pictures look very nice. Thanks for sharing. |

This year has been really rough for Rick so the only thing I want for Christmas is for the PA to say all charges dropped and to realize these bimbos were lying on my husband. I also want those bimbos fired. This is all I want for Christmas. |

swan, that's sooooo funny! man, don't i know that feeling!!! that's the day my kids were fightin' and whinin' and the car got a flat tire and the neighbors called to say the cows were mowing their lawn and the sheep got out of the backyard 45 miles away and were "window shopping" downtown and the puppies were shredding flower arrangements in the cemetery next door and, and, and....   |

The digital camera is the best technology of the day. I have some 20 thousand digital photos and the cost was minisicule compared to what they would have cost on film. Digital cameras are busy recvording things that wouldn't have been recorded just a few short years ago. This may be the most important time in the history of mankind in the recording of our everyday lives! Digital cameras and new attitudes about media have made all of that possible. They are much better on the environment too. The chemistry used in film was terrible on the environment. Saw a tree hugger one day who was shouting about saving the earth and he was carrying an old Nikon and a dozen rolls of film. I just had to ask him how he defined ignorance. He never knew what I was talking about. |

Good thing about digital cameras is, you can buy a flash card that goes inside that will hold all the pictures you would ever want before doing anything with them. A digital camera usually comes with a small flash card that will hold only 8 or 10 pictures, so you will need to buy a flash card to take it's place to hold more. Mine holds about 1100 pictures, so don't have to worry about taking them off and downloading to the computer if I'm on a trip. Then here's the good part, when you want to have any of the pictures developed, just take the flash card out of the camera and take it to someplace like Wally-World, insert the flash card into their picture machine and select which pictures that you want developed. In a few minutes they will be ready and only pay for the ones you want. And if you don't want to develop them, you can just download them to your computer and if you want others to see your pictures, just store them on www.photobucket.com for free. |

We never print photos anymore. Pictures are to share and we do that on line or on one of the many devices that are avaliable for use. You can get used digital cameras that are fine for what most people want to do for some very cheap prices these days. You don't really need high resolution unless you are printing big enlargements. Most people never need to do so. A 1.2 meg digital image looks just fine on a 37 inch monitor, so big is within reach. I have a couple of digital cameras that I gave 40 or 50 dollars for that do just fine and are really handy to carry around in the car. If I lose one of those, I won't pull my hair or cry a lot, just go back to the same pawn shop and get another. Unclaimmed Baggage in Boaz had a pile of digital cameras for five bucks a piece a couple of weeks ago. looks like Boaz has entered the digital age! When posting photos on line, most sites won't accept anything than one meg anyway. It takes too long to load a high res image and forget it if you are on dial up. |

I have a little Digital Pen Cam that my wife bought off the internet a few yrs ago! It is a little larger than a butane cigarette lighter. I takes amazing photos for its size. It is a one mega pix, and has a 1280X900, or a 640x480 pix setting. If I remember, has a fairly large mem, and will take 150 picts or so in the 640 x 480 setting. It does not have any whistles and bells as the newer and larger cameras. It is also capable of 30 seconds of Avi video, which I never tried. The only major drawback it had which I didn't care for, was, there was no off on switch. When the two tripple A batteries were in it, it was always in a standby mode, and the batteries would only last 10 days or so before they ran down in the standby mode. So I bought a little leather camera case for it, and would just leave the batteries out until I needed to use it! But that was not too much of a Hastle, cuz one could put the batteries in a few seconds. They are not the same brand as this one, but I have seen them at Wal Mart and other stores for $19.95. If a person is on a limited budget and wants to take a few photos once in a while, I would sure suggest one of them! A small camera like that not the best in the world, but it is sure better than nothing. I don't think one can beat a good 640 x 480 digital camera for the price! I haven't used it in a couple yrs since I have my Olympus, but its sure nice to have it around in a pinch. Somewhere in my hard drive I have a few photos I had taken with it. If I run across them I will post one just for the heck of it! It doesn't have a flash either, but I have taken picts in the house and they have come out real good, due to the light gathering power of ccd chips. I know we see them in stores, and say to ourselfs. That has to be a piece of junk for only $19.95, but no kidding. It takes fine little picts. Only My 2 cnts worth folks!! OHH BOY! Santa is comming tonight, and I have baked some Cookies for HIM. I'm sure glad they let Him out of jail yesterday, or there would sure be some sad little Kids around the World. He was doing a dry run for Xmas a couple weeks ago. But he had been nipping a little. He was arrested for a "DSD" (Drunkin Sleigh Driving). But I heard they let Him out yesterday. Ps: Those little Pen Cams come with thier own CD software also for editing them! Have a nice Christmas ALL! swanJ |

I am going to post on freecycle if anyone has a digital camera to give away. I have seen people posting wanting a vehicle so it can't hurt. If I can't find one I know Beernut will buy me one in exchange for willing to sing free Opera at his wedding to his new gorilla bride. I will even throw in free banana recipes.

Rick just told me he had a digital camera but I can't use it so I told him I want one from Walmart. I would rather have my own. Rick bought me a Snubnose 38 last year and then hid it from me . I have not gotten to shoot it once. Isn't he darling. He is afraid I will shoot myself by accident. |

OK I'm beating the system! I'm sending 90% of stuff home in the mail so all I will have is a small bag to carry and a small one to check in. If I didn't have some war trophies to check I would not even need the checked bag. The kids will tie me up for a while and won't let us alone BUT you can beat your last dollar momma and I are getting naked and going crazy sat the first opportunity!! There I said it and am damn proud of it YEP after the kids time that will be the 1st thing I do and the 2nd, the 3rd, the 4th and come to think of it the 5th as well.................

I'm not sure yet but typically we come through the northern east coast then on to CA. I'm hoping for a stop in Shannon Ireland for a couple pints and then on to home via the east coast. Last time we came through Bangor Maine.
