Sounds like TUAT has several problems ... sanity being one of them.

Maybe he ought to try looking out the window, for a change of pace. Twice couldn't even debate me on the posts I made, haha. I nailed him in a non-partisan way and pointed out how Islamic Fascists and Satanists are about the only two *anti-religions* who don't believe in the Golden Rule in some form or other. They can never fight back those kinds of arguments, because then they would have to admit their tolerance for religions *except for* Christianity is not really tolerance, it's persecution, an avoidance of responsibility for their own disgusting behavior and a cover for not being willing to live by honesty and the Golden Rule, themselves. Universal principles, Twice, like it or lump it. ;)

This whole "Bush bashing" thing has all been to cover up the fact that people like Twice have been proven to be the opposite of what they have always claimed to be, "humanitarians." They never cared one whit about the people being tortured or persecuted by that butcher in Iraq, are ashamed of their behavior, but will not change. BS artists. :bs2: Look at what they did to Bob Kerrey of NB this week! I always thought he was one of the best Dems there was, but they bulldoze over anyone halfway decent, because they aren't decent their own selves.

Bob Kerrey used to be the Senator from NB, a really fine man and great politician, IMO. He is now the president of the New School and this is what those sickos who invited Ward Churchill to speak just did to HIM!!!

I am reposting a better article with pictures of these posers... look here.

http://www.nysun.com/article/44971

PS On Michelle Malkin's website, they made a great point about the "security" around him, like conservative students are the types who are going to act like LIBERALS and hurt somebody. LOLOL

It's enough to make you sick, isn't it? I think they need a life, that's their problem. They are just using and abusing us and our country to compensate for a lack of one. It is SO OBVIOUS. LOSERS. :violin:

Paul,
It is a well known facts that trolls never die.
You can bet your britches he will be back under a new name, lay low for awhile and then start to stir the pot all over again.
I think "Twice upon a time" is a good indicator that he had been there before and got booted.
You may as well get ready for 'Thrice upon a time".

Well, I'll tell you what, I was one of the stupid people who responded to that troll and I will not make that mistake again. In fact, I feel a lot more comfortable sharing my opinions over here. It's not because we all see things 100% the same way, but I really feel like I can be myself on this mountain and something going on over there makes me feel edgy. Can't really point to one thing or the other, but am really grateful to AlMtnMan for allowing me to participate here.

It would also be nice if Charlie would acknowledge people taking the time to respond to his Soap Box discussions, instead of just wiping them out and starting over. It's not like I want his attention, but we talk about a lot of things and he just says one thing and that's it, no further input, then gone. Feels wierd, I don't think I'm going to do that again. I said that before and did, anyway. But once again, just didn't feel that comfortable about it and wish I had kept my mouth (or fingers) shut.

Ah heck, time for a cup of coffee and then go see what kind of damage those Wall Streeters are going to do to our stocks, today. Online trading, as if I don't get enough aggravation every day to go and ask for more, dealing with trolls and groupies. What am I thinking??? :thatfunny:

Gotta get things redded up for the holidays around the house, too. Not planning much, but it's nice when things are looking good.

beachroses,

I also hate to get dragged into a discussion with trolls. The problem is, as I see it, that the way for people to get away with spreading their bs is for us to do nothing.
We never know who is reading/listening to what is being said that is on the fence and continually hearing lies or half truths with no opposing view will cause them to side with the nuts.
I used to put up with peoples misunderstanding of the truth, half truths or outright lies. NO MORE. When there is a difference of opinion I will argue my side of it. When there are lies/half truths I will point it out. When the person can't argue facts without making personal attacks I will point it out and attack them in return. smiley-snopes-check

It has been said; the way for bad people to win is for good people to do nothing. :hammerhead:

I refuse to sit back and do nothing. smiley-git-r-done

I do agree that this site is more interesting than the CDB is now. I do however continue to go there and see what is being said. Some of the subjects don't interest me so I never go back to them. Others are ones that I enjoy and continue to follow. :)

I enjoy the discussions on both sites and will continue to do so until I am kicked off of them! :jus-passin-thru:

I feel the same way Herb, we can't just sit back and let them throw out a pack of lies without letting them know we're not buying it. Hit them back with straight facts and they get their pants in a wad and then into trouble with whoever is running the particular forum. They usually all do the same thing, when confronted with facts, they come back and attack you with stupidity and insults only to find themselves not being able to post anymore. Then they have to change handles and start all over again. It's just a cycle that keeps repeating itself and we can control it by our replies and facts. ;)

I know a lot of people read websites who do not participate and you can't just let garbage hang out there, so they think it's all true. Some of it is a matter of opinion, but not all.

I have been kicked off of 2 left wing websites for attacking after I was attacked for presenting facts that repudiated the lies being spread.
I had a warning from the military.com website because I returned an attack with the comment that "libs always attack the messenger when they don't like the truth he brings". The mod didn't like me calling the person a "lib" but it was alright for him to call me a racist.
That is supposed to be a site for military but as I read the posts I believe that at least a few are lying about their military service.
I still refuse to allow the lies to pass without attempting to refute it.

I used to run a Ranch in South Texas for a rich lady out of Houston, and the horse pics brought back a lot of memories..

I guess that I'm the odd-man-out here.. I aint ever been tossed from a site before, but there has been plenty of cause.. I aint sayin that I was wrong, but I tend to get down to the level that the troll will..

I'm not one to instigate controversy, but when I know somebody is just lookin for a fight, the FIGHT is on !!

I'm also not a closed-minded person, and tend to be attracted to sites that have a diverse group of folks in it with varied opinions .. Those groups also usually have women folk in em too, and I am most protective of em.. I most-times run interference for the women and head-off the trolls from em..

I'm gonna apologize in advance if there comes a time that I get bounced from here and I dont get to make my apoligies known.. Hopefully, if that happens, there wont be that many that see how ugly I can get to those who are lookin for touble, but, I would rather it be me than you !!

This has recently become my most sincere circle of friends.. Maybe its the holidays, maybe the anniversary of losin my Dad, but I dont know what it is.. I just like hangin out here with ya'll.. Most of the other places I visit, the people are all too high-strung for me.. I'm too laid-back for that.. The CDB has too much tension for me to even start to feel comfortable there.. I feel comfortable here.. Thanks everybody !!

Merry Christmas

Herb, you and I, and many of the rest of us are two horses of the same color (trying to keep in line with the discussion - including horses) :D .

You are absolutely right. We HAVE to fight back with what hurts them the most - TRUTH. We did it with LibertyorDie :hammerhead: , and now with TUAT :hammerhead: , next will be KittyCatDude :hammerhead: if it dares to show up again. They just cannot handle the truth. And if they want to get all vile - I've given up on stuping down to their level...it's best to just contact the mod. Make sure you have a copy of their puke, save the PM you sent to the mod, and their response, so you can back up all of your story. Kind of the way our soldiers did in the SHAME thread - where they were spit on, found the authorities, let them know, had witnesses lined up, and the perpetrator is repremanded (HOPEFULLY).

As far as lib sites go, they are pure hypocracy. Democrats rant and rave about how they represent freedom of speach and expression, and then when they pull crap like what they did to you, it exposes their hypocracy. They don't want to see the truth - period. They don't want others to know the truth - period. They just want to continue to spread their hate and anger. Well guess what - WE HAVE A RIGHT TO BE ANGRY, TOO. I don't believe in hate - some deserve it - Jon Cary, Islamofacists, but we should not outright hate. While they outwardly express their hate for our president, and the administration.

I've never registered for a lib site. I commend yous guys for doing so. But have battled it out in Yahoo chat sessions, which can be even uglier than some of these lib sites. BUT, it takes a great deal for them to boot you out. At least you can express your freedom of speech there. Problem is, it gets lost in all the other BS that is being said there.

Charlie's site is pretty unique. The libs do crawl in there, and they are allowed to stay. You do have to give them credit for letting them stay until the rules are broken, and they are fairly open rules. As are the Mountain's, here.

One last thing to say after this rant ecomcity .....I have only been a member on CDB for about 1/2 a year, and am very grateful for all the OUTSTANING friends I have met there, carried over here, and new friends (that be you beachroses!) met here - Herb, bsb, GWEH, Abidinhim, Altmtnman, Wild Bill, SGTSRICE, Sunshine, legitlinda, SAHawk, meangene, Condor, Deanna, and wish we heard more from jaytalker - miss his rants, too.

I have to say, that I've truly been blessed to be able to share our thoughts :banana-man: together! smiley-10-sign

hey gene,

we're in central NC...the white philly was a feb. foal for us this year...the buckskin is her dad and her mom is an appaloosa pony (right at the cutoff 'bout 14 hands)...her name is haylea and she is such a sweetie! she's our first foal and it's definitely a big + working with them from birth...no baggage...got real lucky with the other two, especially the buckskin...he was 3 when we got him and still a stud...even as a stud he was a doll baby though he'd occasionally go chucky on me...'specially if i went to messin' with his woman! just got him cut a couple of months ago and he's just sweet as pie now...

i don't ask my guys to work...they're just pasture pups and the only thing i expect from them is manners and love and love they do!!! i might try to start them under a saddle at some point, but don't have time for that right now...

what kinda horses do you have?

Merry Christmas to you too!

I think I joined the CDB shorty after you and Gary. I used to laugh at a friend of mine who has on-line friends, because I didn't understand how you could form friendships with people who you never met, and could be feeding you a bunch of lies. Now I understand how that happens. You get to know people after discussing all the different topics we discuss here. I tell people that the people on this board are different. They aren't whacko, they're good, Christian, conservative people. :)

I've had WAY TOO MUCH experience with trolls for my likin.. I've been on several Groups since 1998 that had college students come on and try to do Class Experiments on the members.. Some kind of Psycology(sp) Test to see what they could drum up.. I hate those kind of people that would use somebody for their own enjoyment and to be used as some kind of Class Project.. All they were there for was to get spaces on their paper, and they didnt care if they got booted or not, just as long as they got the results they were lookin for.. Thats about the same category as DAHICKORYHICK is in.. IMHO..

To come amongst good folks just sharin their day and their life and then to have somebody try and see if they can make it as miserable as they can, just takes a sinister kind of mind that I have absolutely NO patience with !! It must be a SAD life they live..

Also sad is the fact that the CDB Forum seems to be some kind of TOTEM POLE society.. The goal seems to be for everybody to try and be at the top of the totem.. For those that dont get their face of the totem, its a mark of underclassmanship and need to be shuned.. I know its rare, but it aint like that here.. All you have to do is be civil and respectfull and obey the rules and, mostly, just join in the fun and friendship, and you are welcomed in with open arms.. And if that aint what somebody is lookin for when they come here, I'd just as soon em to just keep on goin down the road..

I dont claim to have any patent on goodness or right, and I dont plan on bein anybodies Night in Shinin Armor or Guarddog at the Gate.. I do plan on still bein on the side of whats right in this world and will go to all ends to see that its upheld..

Most of you folks have been around each other for a while and know how each other is and reacts to whats happenin.. I'm still pretty new to most of you and I still dont feel like I need to make a large presense .. I aint the pushy type either.. Our most gracious HOST has welcomed me in, but that dont give me the right to come in and put my muddy feet up on his coffee table !! Shame other people dont feel that way..

I never did hold any favorites tween my Mama and Daddy when they got crossed-ways, and I dont figger I will with any of ya'll either.. I expect the same in return too.. Just cause I dont agree with somebody, dont mean I dont like em..

I just try to walk thru this life without steppin on too toes, and I sleep a little better at nite when I help the little guy push back at those that try to push em around.. I guess I just watched too many John Wayne movies !!

I want to start off with Mustangs when I retire and there is a collection site near the house. The prison there also breaks them but I don't know anyone with a lot of experience with them. Everything I have read about them is good, from their durability to their health. I even took some classes and they speak well of them as well. How are your horses? Healthy? Any chronic problems? Temperament????

I was actually thinking of trying to find a short horse for the kids (14 hands)

Any advice?

How about you Gene? Any advice? One thing I wanted to do was to take the family/farm vet from home with me up to the collection point for advice about health but well see.

Mustangs are very hardy horses. They can survive where other horses can't. I don't have much experience with them. As far as a kids horse, they all have their own temperaments and personalities just like any horse. You just have to find one that is gentle for a kid.

I have two quarter horses (mares) and a solid paint (gelding). The foals will be out of my solid paint that I just had gelded.

hey gweh,

to me, working with horses is basically the same as any other animal or human for that matter...it's about getting what you give...trust is a huge factor as well as respect...the bond we share with the animals determines the level of trust, respect and love they give in return....

we purchased our horses through local horse auctions with the exception of the buckskin...he came from a friend who is a livestock dealer...we went to his house one day to look at some sheep and this horses came barreling across the pasture whinnying as though to say "you finally made it, now let's go home!"...how could i resist?!

we actually went through probably 18 horses to find the 4 good ones we have now...i would extend extreme caution in buying through a sale barn unless you can establish a return policy with the seller...i will say i don't necessarily believe in "bad horses", but when the horse has been exposed to abuse or neglect, they don't quickly forget...they pick up bad habits along the way...if someone has time, most of these can be overcome...unfortunately, we are too busy right now to devote that much time to healing horses...

and we learned the hard way too about the diseases the horses can pick up through the process of being run through a sale barn...we had one beautiful registered appaloosa and bought a mule a few months later...turned out the mule had strangles and the app. just couldn't fight it off...luckily he was the only one we lost...was still a nightmare though as that particular bacteria hangs around the environment for months and is highly contagious...

otherwise, these guys are extremely hardy...but again, we don't spoil them so they're well adapted to adverse environmental conditions...

as far as a pony for the kids, i'd either go with a young one and let the kids grow with it or i'd get one that's older, seasoned and "been there, done that"...grooming is a great way to start the kids & the horse bonding...i like getting the kids in the round pen with them too...helps build confidence and establishes respect, manners...

ok...i could go on and on here but i'll let gene get his 2 cents in now...

have a great day!

This is a BLM collection site!! Not a barn. There is a lot you can do from inspections of the animals to the vets records before you buy and this is an adoption so no idea about a return policy.

I'll tell you my family are ranchers! And their horses LOVE to work. You can see the smile on their face when they are out and about working cattle. Heck they even like being around the dogs that are working the cattle. NOW none of my cousins have a mustang but they have spent 6-10000 on their quarter horse and I believe bias so I weight their option.

I plan to spent a descent amount of time riding in the high country! They will be a part of the family but they will also be working. Not doing cattle but riding. There is a lot of gold left in the mountain near where I live and to be honest I plan to do a lot of treasure hunting in the high country as there is a lot of stories and documents about the Spanish treasure that Cortez did not get out of the valley due to his men being killed by the Ute. So I'll be spending a lot of time in the mountains panning and looking and scouting for elk and bear and deer.

Great idea about the grooming!! I was even leery when I started that but your right it helps a lot in the whole trust arena!!

I had a friend (he passed away a couple of years ago) that was doing the mustang adoption program. He adopted 4 or 5. I ask him about the horses and how they were to deal with. He said they take a long time to get their trust. One of them took almsot a year just to be able to touch her without her going balistic. He did say that they all worked out to be pretty good to be around. One of them was old and she was only a pet. The others worked out to be decent riding hoses.
Word of caution, don't rush it. The quickest that he was able to ride was over 6 months and he spent at least 4 hours a day around the horse. He would take a book and go sit in the corral to read.
When he did get them to where they could be ridden they were very easy to work with.
