Offender Web After you click on the underlined below and get to the sex offender site, put in your address then click on the red or blue squares to see picture of offender and name and address. GO to this link and enter your street address...it will show a "house" in the middle of the map, that's your house... all the little colored boxes are registered Sex or other type of Offenders... click on them and you get a name, address & picture of the person along with his crime... pretty amazing and scary...it shows you where they live in proximity to your home and the local schools. It's great that we have a site to go to so we can find out where those predators are and if they are in our vicinity. Everyone should take a look and see who lives in the area, especially if they have small kids. |

This is a great site. I have this website and I sent it to everyone on my e-mail list and posted it on several sites I used to go on last year. It is good to know especially if you are moving to a new area also with small children. |

The scary thing is going to that website and finding someone you know. I did. There is a boy my oldest son went to school with on there. I coached him in little league for few years. I asked my boy what happened and he said he had no idea. He was a real nice kid with great parents. |

That is scary. It is a good site to find out who lives near you though. A few years back we had a guy in the volunteer FD and he was doing things different than the rest were. We went to a wreck one night and the occupants were gone. Later we found that this guy had got them out of the car and carried them away from the scene before the police arrived to arrest them for driving under the influence. He got kicked out of the FD for that act as we didn't want any lawsuits brought against us for doing things that way. Then we started having grass fires all around near where that guy lived, apparently he was the one doing that. Then later on I pick up the paper and find out that he had been arrested for molesting young boys. That was a shock to the whole community as no-one knew. He's now serving life without parole and won't be bothering anymore young kids again. It pays to know who lives nearby. |

When I sat for jury duty this last Summer, we had a case of child rape, and the child testified. It brought me to tears. Within the week to follow, the man who had committed this crime, shot himself in the head after calling the D.A.'s office. (He was out on bond) As far as I know, the child who was molested may be sleeping on the couch with another one of mommy's 'boyfriends'. No charges have been brought against her. I'm glad that the information is out there, but I truly believe that we must pay attention as caring parents. This is where it all begins. |

This is a good website but there are ways for the offenders to get around the registration. A couple of weeks ago there was a story in the news here about how sex offenders are claiming to be homeless when they are released. There is no way to track where they are. Some of them are living in a river bottom very close to a school. There is nothing the cops can do because it isn't a real address. CA voters turned down a proposition that would have required sex offenders to wear a GPS tracking device. This would have allowed the cops to know where one was at the time of an attack. I have 7 granddaughters and this concerns me very much. I wish that we never had to let them out. On second thought, why are we keeping this trash alive. We destroy mad dogs and they are no more of a threat than this trash. As far as the parents watching out for the kids; CA voters also turned down a proposition that would have required parental notification before providing an abortion on an underage girl. Guess the parents don't want to know what their daughters are doing. There is one thing to keep in mind about some of the sex offenders. I know of one boy that was convicted of statutory rape because he had sex with a girl 2 years younger than him. He was 18. The girl never said that it was not consensual. Because he was an adult this will be on his record for life. |
