Had appointment last week, was all keyed up and prepared to be told I would be seeing a locum again (3 previous appointments wasted) but yes I saw the man himself, he is going to do a ADR C5/6 but wants to have new MRI and CT scans to determine exactly what is going on.

Such a strange situation elation that I am finally getting some help but apprehension about what is about to happen. Waiting apparently 3-4 months.

Also had some facet joint injections in my lumbar spine a couple of weeks again them seem to have helped my back pain, but sometimes it feels like the pain is creeping back, I do hope not neck, arm, shoulder and hands hurting cant bare the back pain as well

Hi Dawn B
I emphasise with your situation , its seems a never ending struggle & @ times despair can set in . I'm glad your persistence has paid off .
As for your elation , your endorphin levels would have risen considerably giving you a morphine type high.
I imagine that your pain subsided for about 24hrs , then as your endorphin levels dissipated that's when the apprehension set in . You probably experienced a "mini come down .
I hope you don't have to wait too long after your MRI & CAT scans , as this can be a frustrating time .

Regards
Nessus

I'm sorry to hear of your long wait, unfortunately if you're doing anything on the NHS there is an 8 to 12 week wait. Meanwhile I hope you get some pain relief
Best,

Hi Dawn,

Thanks for the update, I am pleased you are going to get your neck sorted out, your perseverance has paid off. Don't be too anxious about the procedure, its not as bad as it sounds, go into it with enthusiasm and positivity. You're going to get fixed, which is great.

Lynda
