I went to a local dealer in 2nd hand motability cars so nothing over 3 years old. and a lot of them already have adaptations, I got a citreon c4 auto with hand controls on the steering wheel for everything, I do not even have to put the handbrake on when i leave the car. it also had parking alarms too. google your area to see if there are any dealers in your area another bonus with ex motability cars is they are normally low milage. good luck in your search. x |

Thats a really good idea, wonder how many places dispose of adapted cars? Saves alot of money rather than paying to change things ourself. |

I haven't had TDR surgery rather an l4-S1 fusion two years ago. I used to drive a VW Passat but now I have a Honda CRV. the whole reason was its comfy ride, higher more upright driving position, lumbar support and heated seats and light steering. I do about 18k miles a year so comfort is paramount. I'm looking at an X5 now as I can't even comprehend having to stoop and lower myself into a car these days- I guess that Lamborghini will have to stay on the dealers forecourt eh? ![]() As already said, modern 4x4's aren't as bad fuel wise as they used to be and are very easy to drive. They usually come with oodles of kit too as standard. Phil |
