This is NOT for me its for all the Board members who live in that area and was generously passed on to me by another board member who felt that I could at least pin this information where they could not. :P

This is what this board is all about, passing information between members for the benefit of members :D

Obviously this member also had everybody else in mind which is most creditable.
Best wishes,
Alastair :D

Glad to hear Mr Shackleford's list is open again. My GP told me he had tried to send a patient to him before Christmas but thought Mr S had retired from NHS and was only doing private work. I told him I didn't think it likely and that his list was just closed for a while. So it is good news.

Alistair, hope you don't have too long a wait to see him and that he can do something for you.

All Best
Brenda (techman)

its been 3 years since the ALIF with my shack .but the back pain is still as bad as ever and my legs are bad very bad I had leg pain before the ALIF but NO swelling now they swell if I am stood up or bend so do my feet shack says I have arachnoditis and partial CES .he had now discharged me as he feels he can do no more .as he said at the start it was a gamble and it did not work this time .I am also in hospital AGAIN for more surgery this time on my shoulder .I fell out of bed on a visit to see my daughter in jersey .I was in a crap hotel bed fast asleep when the bed flung me on to the floor the back pain was 10/10 I could not move because any power to my legs and they would just burn .as I lay on the floor I thought that my fusion is damaged !! .but after an hour or so I managed to get back to bed .it was in the morning when I noticed a lump just at the side of my shoulder .it was painless so I did not even bother about it .6 months later I showed it to shack and he told me to get it removed and its taken almost a year to get to this point .I have a 12cm x 7 cmx8cm lipoma that needs removing ,so this Monday 02/02 2015 I am back under the knife !!
as for my back I wont be having more surgery .

Sorry where do I find it? I know some complex cases are being done at Walton but haven't heard that ADR is stopping altogether! I am in agony so would like to find out. I have spoken to the secretary about how long I will wait for a date but she is waiting to speak to the Consultant. I'd like to see the post if you know where it is?
Thanks
Jo
