Hi Marion

I had a double ADR in June and worked from home after about 4 weeks for about half a day. I then returned to work in august/september. I run my own business, even though I do have staff I felt that due to the economy I needed to go back. I am a designer and therefore sit at a computer all day or travel to appointments.

Now at nearly six month post op I realise that going back to work so soon has really drained me. I have been going to work and then coming home at about 8pm and going to bed. Emotionally it has been hard. Sometimes my head is all over the place don't know if this is due to tablets or tiredness - I guess the message from me is. If you can return to work as late as possible. Build your strength back up and take your time - if you can. Remember the docs talk years not weeks or month for full recovery so be kind to yourself. You sound to be doing really well.

I am one for pushing myself and now I feel I should have given myself time. It is huge shock to your body and I don't think anyone really understands that unless they have been there. Don't be hard on yourself I hope the sad days get less. The other thing this forum has taught me is that you are not weird or weak for the way you feel, you are in fact totally normal. Everyone on here has had struggles and feelings of failure. You are so brave to have gone through what you have and in the end you will come out the other side and feel better. Thinking of you lots.
