I haven't really messed with it but I might turn off the stars setting and customize the quick chat items.

I use the stock INI options (but then they've been customized for my tastes :-) When my kids play, we use the command line settings to override the defaults, and open two windows side-by-side on a single machine. Does anyone play with relative controls? |

I prefer relative controls for showing off and navigating through tight spaces but not as a practical measure. Window or full-screen? |

I use to play with relative controls for almost a year. They're a bit tricky, especially when using any other directions besides forward. I use Fullscreen. |

Has the SZGraphics option been disabled? I seem to only be able to see SZGraphics=1 anymore. |

I think it was, semi-inadvertently. The main reason was because the "collision polygon" did not match the graphic, so I had to make a decision. |

too bad...I liked the classic white arrow much more than the double red. |

Well... I don't. However I suppose I could reinstate the option, and let you suffer the consequences of having a slightly different hit polygon for the gofast. Wouldn't really bother me what you do in the privacy of your own home! :-) |

My biggest problem with it is that it adds bright red to every map that has a gofast. It's visually distracting makes for a less attractive color palette. Also, it's a common team color and the new arrows are small, triangular, and about the size of a ship. I'm more against the color than anything. White is much less obtrusive and jives with the neutrality of uncharged turrets and force field projectors. Edited by karamazovapy, Nov 13 2009, 12:39 PM.

I agree. I think the color should be changed. The design is okay in my opinion.

I think gray/white would be too dull for an item of great action. Perhaps a light blue? And while I like the new design much better than the old, I only like it 80%, and would entertain new designs altogether. |
