anime games are fun but never great. this is no exception. i have yet to play a anime game that is great.

graphics: graphics are pretty good. not great, not terrible. just good all around. kinda like ghost in the shell. i have not met any frame rate problems while playing this

replay: terrible terrible replay. there is absolutely no reason to replay this game. the game is very easy and you probably wont want to pick it up once uve beaten it. most anime games have very low replay value

gameplay: the combat is alright. u have a sword or 2 arm blades you can switch by pressing L2. the sword is slower than the arm but has greater range. the arms you can level up. the combat feels a little awkward though. ull think you are close enough to hit the enemy only to see your attack missing. not a deep combo system. however u kan charge your attack with triangle and do a series of quick attacks you execute with button presses. this is the best part of the fighting

sound: drum beats and low flute music. fits the theme but lulls me to sleep

fun factor: despite all this this game was pretty fun. i actually beat the game and tahts saying something. i dont beat games unless they are very fun. cant say the same thing after u beat it though.

difficulty: a very simple game. you might get the illusion that it is hard once in a while but youll probably die about 3 times this whole game

story: based on the manga and those of you who read manga know that mangas have surprisingly good stories. i dont pay attention to story much so i kant go in dept but the story will keep you interested. not the greatest story of all time but good enough for a action adventure

value: 19.99 new. if you like anime games with good story ok combat is enterntaining overall, buy it. i however will not be picking this up a 2nd time.

Funny, X-Play gave this game a 1/5 I think, but it sounds kinda cool though...

What about anime RPGs?

Xplay also gave Shining Tears a 1 out of 5. They are way off base on these two games. The average accmulative score for both games were around seven from the majority of mags and websites. You could do way worse than these two games.

well larry one thing you have to do is level up your characters because it gets pretty tough when your fighting 200-300 guys with just 2 people. other than that its a great game
