Heh, I have to admit, I thought this was a weird game when I first saw any advertisements for it. Funny hwo playing the game can easilly change yoru train of thought.

Story- This is a rather unique story, Luigi wins a mansion and tells mario about it, they agree to meet at it. Mario gets there first and well.... dissapears inside. You plays as luigi in trying to find Mario. The very first scene you get to see is luigi about to get beat up by some ghosts when this nerdy guy called Professor E. Gadd comes to his rescue with the vacuum looking ghost-catcher called the Poltergeist 3000. anyway The Professor gives you the PG3000 and an item called the GameBoy horror to aide you in your quest to find yoru missing brother. I'll give it a 8.5/10

Gameplay - Rather fun, you search the mansion to find clues as to where Mario is while catching ghosts. you also find money, coins, jewels, and bars of gold to give yourself a score. You cant buy anything, but the more cash you find, the higher your rating. The boss fights are somewhat tricky, first you have to figure out there weaknessess using the GBH and find out how to exploit them. there are really two types of bosses, the ones you use the GBH on are the mini-bosses where att he end of each level theres the main boss which you have to figure out how to beat since they are immune to the GBH. Gameplay i'll give a 7/10

Now Graphics - This is a pretty good game graphics wise, considering it was one of the first GC games out, it fully utilizes its graphics abilities, Dust ibn the house, the splashing of water, the flames, all well done. Even when using the vacuum movements are somewhat realistic lookingm, especially the cash fluttering in the air. 9/10

Sounds - The music was pretty good, hell, in one area you can play instruments to re-create music from the original mario game. The sounds are cool, especially whne you knock on the walls, or call out for mario. "Mario! Maaaarrrriooo!" Luigi's voice also changes based on how much damaged. hell, even when you shrink.... yes you can shrink in this game!... his voice sounds all high pitched. 7.5/10

Controls - Fairly simple, button to examine things, two buttons to use the vacuum, one to suck things up, the other to expel elemetal ghosts you may have picked up, and three buttons to access the different functions of the GBH. now the hardest part is the fact that you need to use both the control stick, and c-stick in order to use the vacuum properly, though it gets easy after a while. conterols 9/10

Over-all i'll give this a pretty good score of 9/10. YOu have no idea how often you have to backtrack in this game to get all the Boo's as they could be hididng anywhere.

luigis mansion was fun but i never wanted to touch it after i beat it the first time. not my type of game, but not a bad game. the boss fights were pretty easy and the action is pretty uneventful. luigi can only suck/shoot fire/ice. he kant even jump or anything. im an action fan so this type of gameplay isnt for me

if you want a even better game than this get mario sunshine. mario sunshine kicks ass.
