Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty(Playstation2) Hideo Kojima is an artist, he brought a story about secret waepons and espionage to vivid new heights in Metal Gear Solid(Playstation) and he brings his style of creativity and storytelling to the 2nd installment, Sons of Liberty... Controls/Gameplay: The controls for Metal Gear Solid 2 are almost identical to that of its predecessor with the exception of the First-Person View Mode. This enables for heighten accuracy and a sense of realism to the game. Easy to learn.(However during some parts, button-mashing is a necessity, also swimming pissed me off...) The gameplay is focused on stealth but be warned boss battles are fun, frantic, and action-packed! (BTW, the weapon selection is vast and most bosses can be taken down multiple ways!) Graphics: The atmospheres and lighting are portrayed beautifully. And the cutscenes are exciting and vivid. Storyline: Your mission: STOP METAL GEAR! The game is divided into two parts, the Tanker, where you play as the gruff, cigarette smokin, bandana wearing, Snake who returns for another run at stopping Metal Gear. Then there is the Plant where you play as the whiny, greenhorn, Raiden. The story is truly spectacular, I won't reaveal anything, because the story is THAT great... However you will meet a cast of unforgettable characters who will assist of hinder you from your objectives. With all the plot twists and shocking revelations, all I can say is, expect the unexpected! Other Factors: The soundtrack will leave you shocked and craving more, the powerful, and patriotic tunes will stir varying emotions in you. The voice cast is superb, comprised of professional voice actors, including Phil LaMarr(Vamp) and Jennifer Hale(Emma). The replay value is great, you will find yourself playing again and again seaching for Dog Tags which will get you many various goodies... Conclusion: This is one of the greatest game ever made on the Playstation2. All the factors have been developed flawlessly fusing together to create a masterpiece, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty... Sadly, its length is very short... But don't let that stop you from playing this game, an unforgettable experience! Rating:I give it a 9.5 out of 10.0(A tour-de-force experience that will live on in your memories for years...) Hideo Kojima is an artist and Sons of Liberty was freakin cool but nobody that I know that is really into the series has played through all of the one on Gameboy Color. The story on that is the best bosses are better, but I have not passed it either. I'm stuck in the C4 part. |

Wasn't Slasher Hawk a great boss. You still Owl, Bison and some other sweet bosses. |

I loved Sons of Liberty. I played it over and over and over. My fastest time on normal was 4:30:00. Funny thing is that was my actual time. Except for the seconds part. I dont remember, but i finished it in 4 hours and 30 minutes on normal but then again that was after having all the goodies that took me forever to get. But then again, its always fun messing with the guards. The story was fantastic. The end boss fight was awesome especially on hard. I loved everything about the game. And if ever i get bored, all i have to do is save the game and then have an all out gun fun fight with everybody which is awesome. Loved the soundtrack. Cant get enough of it. Havent been able to find it in stores so if anything i'll be downloading it. But man, Sons of Liberty is great. I personally liked it better than Snake Eater. |

Yeah. I'm a big fan of the Metal Gear Solid series, but you can't call yourself hardcore until you've beaten the first Metal Gear Solid and earned the bandanna. Oh yeah. And the stealth device is soooo much fun. The guards don't know what hit them. |
