action is my favorite genre, and so its only expected that devil may cry is my favorite series of the genre. the main reason i like devil may cry so much is because of its difficulty. if youve played dmc as much as i did, youd find any other action game as easy as cake. after dmc i bought ninja gaiden and started off of hard mode right off the bat. i beat ninja gaiden in hard mode my first time through without using any items or dying a single time. i also managed very hard mode in ninja gaiden with no damage no save and no items. in god of war i started off on hard mode right away and i didnt even die once. so you want to know how playing dmc gets you polished for all the other action games? its because dmc redefined the action genre and most games use dmc as a base. thats just how good dmc is graphics: im not a big fan of graphics because everybody knows that its not the graphics that make up the game but whats in the actual gameplay that matters. substance over flash. the only thing i have to say about the graphics is that its nice and that it looks very good. difficulty and camera: alot of reviewers say that the camera in this game and the difficulty of this game is an instant letdown which i dont understand. ill start with the camer first CAMERA: the camera in this game isnt bad at all. the only time ive ever had camera issues was with the bosses agni and rudra and after a while that didnt even matter. the camera is perfect for this game and i dont know why people didnt like it DIFFICULTY: this is the reason i no longer trust review sites. they make absolutely no sense at all. all the review sites ive seen rated ninja gaiden above a 9 and said that the difficulty was an "inviting addition because most games today dont provide this kind of challenge." so how could they praise ninja gaidens difficulty and tear down dmc 3 for the same thing? it makes me think that reviewers got paid off or that most people today are just xbox fanboys that cant praise any game unless its on the xbox. anyways. the difficulty in my opinion is just right. the difficulty is what makes this game so good. when you beat someone you couldnt beat before through practice it gives you a sense of accomplishment. something most games today cannot give because of their lack of difficulty. however, this could just be me because off the top of my head i know 4 of my friends that bought this game and not one of them can pass easy mode. gameplay: the gameplay is awesome. its not just flashy, it also has a very very deep combat system. flashy and filled with substance, how can you go wrong? there are 6 styles you can choose. sword master, gunslinger, royal guard, trickster, doppleganger and quicksilver. the last 2 styles dont really count because they only allow you to do one thing. quicksilver lets you slow time down and doppleganger allows you to form a clone of yourself. the last 2 styles are basically for super dante only. the first 4 styles each provide a unique form of playing and each style gives you a whole new plethora of moves. the swordmaster adds around 3-6 moves for each of your 5 melee weapons and allows them to do moves you normally cant do with the other styles. gunslinger gives your 5 long ranged weapons new moves that cannot be done on the other styles. trickster is for evasive player and royal guard is for experts and professionals who had experience with this game. basically the first 2 styles are offensive and the last 2 are defensive. im not gona spoil how the last 2 styles work because i want you to play the game to find out. overall this game is very good. there are some levels you might not want to replay after youve beaten it, but this game gives you a level select option as soon as you completed the level allowing you to pass over that. 9.5/10 final score |

I personally dont like how they split all the attributes up. Makes me have to sit there even longer to level them up. But overall the game looks pretty cool. I havent really finished it. Never got around to doing so. |
