AT&T Calling Cards; Bless Our Troops (and yourself)

AT&T allows the holders of their Calling Cards to donate minutes to our U.S. Military Troops. What a great feature!

Take only a couple seconds to keypad in the number of minutes you want to share. And I can tell you it makes one feel good knowing that your shared minutes will be available for use by our Troops, to talk with loved ones, or with friends, or to take care of a business concern, or whatever. It's a small thing to do but can be such a blessing to the recipients (and the givers).

How would I go about sharing? Can I do it online?

Millsfamily,

When I used my purchased calling card last night (if you have one) they asked if I wanted to purchase more minutes on my calling card and then asked if I wished to dontate minutes for our military troops, at which time they would bill you for the minutes you donate. You have to make a call on your calling card to get the message.

Of course if AT&T really gave a good crap about our troops, they would donate the minutes themselves. A question I have is what is the coversion of my anywhere in the USA AT&T minutes to the oversea's rate that AT&T would charge our brave soliders for calling home? Knowing those crooks, most likley 10 minutes of USA minutes = 15 seconds of overseas rates. And by the way, I dontated 100 minutes from my recently purchased card.

My AT&T Carding was purchased at Sam's Club by our one of our daughters. I think you can purchase them many other places. We have had ours for several years now. Three and half cents a minutes. I renew our time over the phone (following the menu) in 1,000 minute purchases. Any purchase of 200 minute blocks of time are permitted.

The last time I used our Card for long distance I was asked at the beginning if I would like to donate. AT&T just deducted the minutes from our total minutes after authorizing the amount of time I keypadded in. Was very easy. I'm not aware if other Carding Card Companies are doing this. If you do not have an AT&T Card then you have to ask the Phone Card company if they have this feature, or purchase an AT&T Card and donate using it.
