I have a strong feeling that if one digs deep enough, this will turn out to be a hoax. I'm no biologist, but right off the bat there are different numbers of chromeosomes involved. and an incomplete chromosome in the Helix will not produce a living cell. |

Ten Packs, my apology, I gave you a shovel without anywhere to dig, I must have had a senior moment. I will try again. Here are the sources mentioned in the above link. Try the subject, CLONING. Happy mining.... http://headlines.agapepress.org/archive/12/afa/32004d.asp http://www.cmdahome.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page http://www.shsmu.edu.cn/english/index.php |

http://headlines.agapepress.org/archive/12/afa/32004d.asp Well, this is the same article you started with. You can't back something up by referring to the same thing. That's just repeating yourself. http://www.cmdahome.org/ I cant find anything substantial - I even used their "search" for "chimera" and only came up with two references: a) "Unbridled scientists are already eyeing human germ-line genetic engineering, horsing around with human-animal chimeras and racing to clone human embryos." (just says people are thinking about it, not doing it. In fact trying to clone a horse and a mule - which ARE related - resulted in dismal failure; over 300 dead embryoes. They say they did finally get 3 successes, but those are hardly Chimeras...) To my amusement, the second hit was just the same as the first, but from a different newspaper. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page Wikipedia, a respected and non-partisan source, showed NO results, indicating anything of the activities referred to in the first article. http://www.shsmu.edu.cn/english/research/index.php "chimera" search resulted in nothing at all to do with the term or concept. Am I missing something??? Finally, I Googled the following: "chicken implanted with quail cells" and came up with a lot of hits, several of which I followed, Which they were all heavy technical reading of scientific reports, I skimmed through and could find little of what the first article refers to. And again, one kind of bird with another kind of bird is hardly stretches the gap between different species, much less animal-to-human. |

Ten Packs here are a few digs from various sources. I have over 30,800 more I did not post. I really do not believe my success has anything to do with the Superority of the American Internet over the Canadian internet.
