Earlier today I was reading a story about some kids in Casper, WY who found a purse, located the ID and turned it over to the cops. Unknown to them the purse held $43k....the woman's life savings. Today on base I witnessed a guy drop some money out of his pocket as he was pulling his hand out. Before I could say "hey buddy" three other people had told him about it. Kinda neat |

Yeah, we all get cynical these days, but people are better than we give them credit for most of the time. |

It's always the bad things that get the most publicity. Unfortunately. |

Found two 50.00's folded up and laying on the floor in Home Depot once, three days before Christmas. I turned the money into customer service, all I could think of was some poor kid not getting anything for Christmas becasue the ole man had lost his money. I asked what would happen to the money if no one claimed it and was told it would go to the stores account. Seems they have parties and stuff like that with money from that account. I still think if I had known about the policy beforehand would I had turned the money in. Never did find out if anyone claimed the money. |

I was standing in line in a donut shop and this rig-pig guy (what we call guys that work on the oil rigs that make so much money they don't know what to do with it) ahead of me dropped a $100 bill out of his pocket when he took his hand out. He was chatting with a group of other "manly men" that worked on the rigs. I picked it up and told him that he'd dropped it. He said he didn't. I insisted he did as did the lady behind me. He insisted he didn't. Okey dokey, I said and kept the hundred. Put it in my daughter's bank acct. Call me evil, bad, insensitive, etc. because I didn't give it to charity. |

There are still a lot of good people. Most are good, IMO. As said above, the many bad get the news. |
