I'm jokin' Andrea. 2wave

Breeze's thread intent was obvious.LOL

If the Breach ever turned into ATC,I'd be long gone from here.I get rough & crude at deer camp, but would'nt do it at my own campsite, with my Coachmen and never amongst relatively strangers like at an RV Rally.

I forgot too.
Paper or plastic?

Regular or unleaded?

Cows or pigs?

Hmmmm.

Actually, I take 4, and we hardly ever take more than two out of the truck. The fishn' buddies always beat me to the fire and they bring so many chairs it's not necessary to dig mine out half the time.

Jim - cmon, I know youre funnin' but play along, we all need a bit of Mental .... Relief, yeah, thats the word I was thinking of. Lots more arguments to come, lets just goof off for a day or so.

We (2 of us) have 4 all the fold-out, canvas seat/back with the damned plastic sliding locks that make you mad when you have a bit of arthritis in your fingers.
Two plain ones for guests, but that where the story gets better.
My wifes' is sprung from the sides and has a High Back and Head-rest pillow thingy to support her neck.
Then, mine (which SHE GOT FOR ME!... No tomatoes, folks!) is a fold-out ROCKER!
Man, when your legs dont work as good as when Ford was in charge, is that NICE! Need to get up? Just give it a one-and-a-two back and forth, and BOING! Youre damn near standing up already!

(Not recommended for more than 3 drinks, though - gets a bit hard on the "balance-thing" ;))

And DONT sit right in front of the fire!!! 3flame

Got 4 in the camper, but don't know why when I either go by myself or with just one other buddy. Guess it must be for a couple of you that don't have any aboard. You all welcome to join in at my campfire and sit a spell...

We take 2 folding chairs from our deck at home. Carol bought a really nice set of 4 of them at the Independent Grocer store for $69.95 2 years ago. They are gray with light blue and beige tones in shuttle stripes. They go really good with our van which is dark blue. Both the seat and back have some padding which adds extra comfort. The frames are quite strong and have a locking feature so that when they are picked up they don't have that annoying tendency to fold. They are just a little bit larger than most folding chairs so they are very comfortable. The one setback with the padding is that if they get left out in the rain without being folded and placed upside down they absorb water and usually take a day to dry if the weather is warm and even longer if it's cool or cloudy. Also when they are folded they lock in the folded position so when they are picked up they they don't flop open. We also use them on our boat so we have to remember to take them home with us if we are going camping or we have to make a special trip to the boat to pick them up or take the other 2 from the deck. This has happened several times but we are getting better at remembering them.
I was quite surprised to find that they were made in China. When Carol brought them home she was sure that they were made domestically but I discovered a tiny little sticker that said "made in China" on each of them.I would have never have bought them myself had I known that they came from China. We discussed the issue and decided to keep them anyway as they were of such high quality. We certainly have never regretted buying them.
We fold them and put them just inside the door for easy access. Sometimes we put them under the bed if we don't plan on using them for a couple of days. They are easily cleaned with dish soap and water or even with a quick spray of window cleaner.Windex is our favourite but Carols mother told us that vinegar and water does the same thing. Mix 5 parts water to 1 part vinegar and put it in a spray bottle.
In the winter we put them in our garden storage shed folded and in a vertical position and off the floor to discourage mice from getting at them.We give them a good cleaning after we take them out so they look and smell really fresh.
We also carry two folding camp stools which we keep under the bed. They are the kind that have steel frames and nylon seats. One is red and the other is blue. We got them for a dollar each at a yard sale and the lady said that they had never been used. Sometimes I look at them and wonder if she was just saying that to make a sale. Because they are 2 different colours Carol never takes them out until after dark because she worries about them looking tacky and she always puts them inside before we go to bed. Actually I think that a splash of colour makes the campground brighter but she insists that everything should be coordinated.
I would love to hear your opinions about colour and weather you like to mix or match. Maybe this belongs on a thread of it's own. I don't want to rock the boat on the colour issue as this thread is dedicated to chairs.I hope that my post is helpful to others as this really is an important issue. Don't hesitate to ask questions if you need any advice or just to chat about chairs.Especially if you are new to RVing you can always pick up some handy advice from us seasoned travelers and save yourself a lot of headaches. Remember that there are no stupid questions-just stupid answers. That's what we're all here for.
At any rate the simple answer is 4 chairs.2 Regular and 2 stools.

Reboots, where exactly did you find the "Made in China" stickers? I had such stickers on our 4 chairs but noticed that the sticker was placed in a different position on each chair. I wonder if this was done on purpose. Some of the stickers were even upside down and very confusing to read. Well, my husband and I talked about it and I also discussed it with my camping friends. We really think it would be better if each sticker was placed in the same position, it would make it easier to read them.
We absolutely don't mix and match. We had our TT repainted in a pretty polka dot pattern to match the hunter green/white chairs and our hunter green table. The Silverado will be next, it's gonna look so pretty in hunter green. I hope this is not going to interfer with the black color of my car, after all truck, car, and TT are sitting in the driveway and I would like it to be a uniform color scheme. I have to admit the color of the table is a wee bit off, I'd call it forest green, not hunter green. Maybe even dark fir green, but absolutely not hunter green. No flaming please! There is a difference between hunter green and forest green!!! I find the hunter green to be more of a dark woodsy shade while the forest green is kind of greener, grassier, like grass in the shade.
Reboots, you didn't mention if the seat and back of your chairs were textile. If they are, I recommend a spritz of frebreze to keep them smelling good, it will also take away the nasty smell of vinegar, if that's what you used for cleaning them. You know, they also make Windex with vinegar. I think it comes in a blue bottle.

Oh, I'm sure that lady told you the red and blue folding stools were never used just to make the sale. This happened to me once when I bought a roll of toilet paper on ebay. It stated that it was never used before. When it arrived in the mail it had all kinds of smears on in, mostly woodsy colors. I tried to get a refund but the seller declined so I left them a bad feedback. I'm convinced he only stated the toilet paper was brandnew to make the sale!

Andrea :After thinking about it I seem to remember that the stickers that said "Made In China" were on the frames under the seats which by the way are covered with some kind of nylon fabric and the padding is what is called man made filler. I'll bet that there were women making that stuff as well as men.I seldom believe the information on tags anymore as I have seen things on TV about different frauds. Here in Canada there was a 6 week mini series about fraud in lawn chair manufacturing and I never missed one show. It had the largest audience ever and was even better than the series on tree bark. I'm getting off topic here so I must be careful. I don't want to be rude but I personally believe that your comments on different shades of green strayed from the topic.
By all means the Made In China stickers should be placed where they can be easily seen and should be 2 inches long and 3/4 inch wide and should be communist red.
I haven't bought toilet paper on eBay since sometime last year when there was a special Canadian TV series that ran for 4 Sunday nights in a row and went into great detail about the manufacturing of tissue paper and how some companies actually grind up rabbits and put them in toilet paper to make it softer. I only buy paper that has a note on the label that says "rabbit free". I know that bears use rabbits for toilet paper but they let them hop away after they use them and that's just natures way of using everything for a purpose. Not grinding them up.
I like your idea of using Fabreeze to get rid of the vinegar smell. Last August when it was really hot and humid I was siting on one of our chairs late at night an I suddenly got the feeling that I had been pickled. Fabeeeze works wonders on lots of things. The last time that we were camping a little bunny wandered onto our site and he had a terrible odor coming from his fur. I have no idea what happened to him but he was stained and smelled really bad. He made no objection when we sprayed him with Fabreeze and seemed quite happy that we had helped him out.He stayed with us for a while and had several beers with us.
If you are going to do everything in green to go with the polka dots you may consider doing your driveway in green or polka dots to have everything matching. Personally I'd go for polka dots on the driveway but as it's your driveway you should feel free to come to your own conclusions. Just remember that I would go for the dots. I'm not being pushy but I would be disappointed and might never respond to your posts again.
I think that you are getting off topic by talking about colours and not chairs. I don't want to press the issue but maybe you should stay on topic. What is forrest green? All trees are a different shade of green so who decides what colour a forrest is?

Well reboots, happy flaming!
How can you say there's no such color as forestgreen. The forest is green, isn't it?
If there couldn't be a color such as forestgreen, then there can't be huntergreen either. Ever seen a green hunter? Usually, they are mud colored with fashionable orange accents, so a color containing the word "hunter" should be either brownish like mud or orange. Still there's huntergreen, which make forestgreen a perfectly ligitimate name for a color referring to the all the different greens one would find in the forest. I think it means all colors combined, if you combined all the shades of green found in the forest you would wind up with forest green. Of course, it depends on what kind of forest you're talking about. I would imagine the forests in California are quite different than those in Florida. Florida forests are not as green, they tend to be more of a muddy green, due to the Spanish Moss that is found on most of the trees.

As for my driveway, well....I just received a PM from a member suggesting that the only reason you want me to go with the polka dot pattern is belittle me infront of others. This member also suggested that I go with a stripe pattern instead. Go ahead, flame me, I'm gonna paint it in stripes!!! Should all the stripes have the same width? I thought it might be refreshing if the green stripes were not as wide as the white stripes, what's you input on that? Maybe we can have a poll.

Oh, and it's spelled Frebreze, not Fabreeze! You're such a flamer, not even do you flame me because I rightfully defend my statement that there is a difference between huntergreen and forestgreen, now you're even flaming the company that manufactures Frebreze. Unless you can provide a link that somehow shows your way of spelling is right, I won't believe you.

Don't paint your driveway with stripes. They will attract bees. Hunter green would bee perfect for polka dots. You're right, hunters are usually muddy and after a while in the woods smell bad so they need to be sprayed with Frebreze. Fabreeze would make them smell "fabulous". I don't read the labels on things and I thought it was Fabreeze.
Actually it's only the leaves in the forrest that are green. The trees are more like brown. Someone made a mistake and maybe should have called it forrest leaves green. Also the hunters are people coloured so hunter green should be hunter clothing green.
I hope you don't think that I'm serious about this. :sorry

Hey! Our very cool Zipdee chairs MATCH our rig. And some of the rest are close, though the "picking" chair is a Redskins color scheme so it doesn't count.

Makes us feel like we're driving a Prevost here. :D

P.S. Haul around enough chairs and some are SURE to match.
