Sir Galahad, Lord of the Realm

I hope this is not true. I always fear that I sound condescending or pretentious or arrogant and I certainly have emotions. Perhaps I just need to add a little spice to my posts. I might try my hand at a little Drifter vernacular but somehow I think that dog wont hunt. :cowboy Please tell me I do not sound like Spock! If I do, please fib. Regards, Richard |

Better Spock than Dr. Spock :thumb I always held Spock in high regard as I do yourself. He never let his emtion cloud his judgment. And remember he was half human and did on occasion show emotion. Of course only when it was logical to do so. Don't change Richard, you da man :thumb |

As the Vulcan only experiences Pon farr every 7 years and I have two children of my own who where born on the same day one year apart, it is only logical that I can not be Vulcan. Their are those that might be so bold as to speculate that I might have impregnated my wife and then sent her on a 6 year journey at velocities approaching the speed of light so that as my time passed swiftly hers might have passed more slowly and that on her return she might give birth to our first born. I can assure you that such speculation is false. I am no Vulcan. QED Regards, Richard |

Richard - what of those that speculate that you are, in fact, the (evil) Richard from the alternate universe - and not that born of this world? Sir, I must ask - do you wear a goatee? -Thomas |

When all the humans were running around the Enterprise blowing their cool, Spock was calm, collected, articulate and rational. Also smarter than most of the rest of the crew. Seems like an appropriate "handle" for Richard. I am thinking "Vulcan of the Realm". What do you think, gang?

Doug, I am very pleased to see you posting again. You are most welcome. Kiwi_too, Sir. Galahad was the Knight most pure of hart in all that good company of the Round Table. It is a title very difficult to live up to and hardly deserved, but I will do my best to bring honer to it. It seams most strange that an atheist should bear the name of one who achieved the quest for the Holly Grail and as such was entitled to sit in the Siege Perilous, that chair at the Round Table reserved for the Grail Knight. I am not sure who granted me such a distinguished title as it appeared without comment but I am happy for it even if it is rather presumptuous. Best Regards, Richard |

Sir, I knew that. That is also why I think it is fitting for you. You are eloquent and noble. You speak from the heart and never in malice. You share and attempt to educate. I feel that you are more than deserving of the title. |
