How about this, and end this once and for all:

Some think JB & moolah should still be with us.

Some think JB & moolah should be gone.

Let's stop discussing this and move onto other things...OK?

:yeahthat

And again, now is not the time to gloat. Two members were banned, and it was something that I did not want to do, but felt needed to be done. I would much rather pine for a situation in which it was not warranted.

Breeze, the things that happened at ATC are long ago in the past and should be left in the past. I do not think it was a factor in the decision that was made. As a long lurker of the forums and new poster, I like others took offense to the constant hijacking of post and general rude behavior of their actions. They were told constantly to take it to the Admin/Guard forum, but chose not to. They took innocent post and harassed members on their intentions. This place is becoming nothing like the ATC and probably never will. We can post about anything and voice our opinions, but to harass others and make accusations about innocent post is rude and disruptive behavior that should not be allowed. Everyone here is an adult and is expected to act like one. I support the decision made and wouldn’t mind seeing them come back, but only if they can act like an adult. There is a time and a place for everything. There was nothing wrong about them going to the defense of someone else, it is quite honorable to defend someone who for a time couldn’t defend themselves. But they were given the place to take it, but refused. IMO, they brought this on themselves. We all live in a society that is not without rules, here and in our everyday lives. If you break a law, even though it may be a stupid one, it doesn’t change the fact that you broke the law. If there are mitigating circumstances, there is a place to take it, its call the courts. The Admin/Guards provided them with a place to take it; but they, like so many in this world chose to take it to place where no one had the ability to do anything about it. There behavior was akin to starting a riot. Ignoring them only caused them to escalate their harassment and attacks on other members. Something had to be done. If they are allowed to come back, I hope everyone can act in a civil manner and let it go. Like Center Punch said, “It's just an Internet Forum.” Like Bobcatkitty said, "Let's stop discussing this and move onto other things..."

i had no idea, i am truly sorry.

I agree with White trash.

They where warned, but the kept going. Most of those that agreed with them will even tell you that they took it to far.

BUT is it possible that they learned fromthis? God gives us all a second, third, fourth and on chance. Can we allow them one more chance?

Can we let a little time go on, let everyone cool down, and maybe allow them back? Let them know that there is no hijacking of threads, that what happened is over and it will not be brought out to destroy again?

I just know how many second chances I have been given in life. I know when I have given a second chance it sometimes turned out to be the greatest gift I ever got.

I am NOT defending either Moolah or Jelly however I must say that if people would not have kept feeding on their every post, then it wouldn't have come to this.

So, IMO if such a case comes up again, perhaps if others were to ignore the trolls, Psyc and others wouldn't have to resort to these difficult decisions.

Now, lets let the games begin! :cheers

Yes 54th, so many (myself included) flamed it.

If psyc had stopped
If steven had stopped
If jelly had stopped
If Moolah had stopped

And the list goes on. But no one did! We all played a part. While something needed to be done, I just feel that maybe a warning should have happened. A timeout.

That's not a problem Breeze. No everyone stay on the board all day and reads every post. You really have no reason to applogize, and I don't blame you for not reading each and every post. Appology accepted.

Yes they were told. But with my kids I can say stop it a million times, but till I ground them they will sometimes not listen. Couldn't that be the same here? I don't know either one of them well enough to guess whether they are sorry or what, but maybe after some cooling down time EVERYONE can see their mistakes in this. We can all learn and grow and make this place a better forum for it.

With all due respect, Moolah & Jelly are not kids.

It is truly sad that it had to come to this. It really is. Given their track record (I am not saying they caused them) with involvement in other forums imploding, I felt it was a matter of time before this one went down also. I personally commend those that had to do the dirty work to save this great board. It was, I imagine, a very tough decision. Thanks to all of the admins/mods, or whatever they are all called, for risking their butts to make this necessary decision.

Please do whatever is necessary to get Steven back here where he belongs. He has been a voice of reason that is valued here.

I think the whole key to this situtation and any like this that should arise again is to "LISTEN" when you are told to "BACK OFF" especially when it comes from an administration member of this forum.

Had IMA done that, I am sure that he would not have been given a time out. If Moolah and Jelly Bean had done that, they would still be here posting. I know some will and have said that it takes two to tango and add fuel to the fire, but in my opinion I believe that Moolah and JB could have stopped it by taking the time out when first told to. Thought Drifter went over board in his threating post to Moolah, he was told what to do in a PM and has not returned on his own. He was warned prior to that one time to STOP and he did. I hope Drifter will return and apologize for his statement and continue to post here.

Anyway, I want to thank Leo for allowing this discussion as he suggested in his pinned post. Hopefully we can all be allowed to post our feeling on this matter in an adult way and not offend one another and then when it ends we can all get back to the fun and games.....

Actually, I think it is good that people can get emotionally involved when discussing ideas. So far as I can tell that is what has happened on this forum recently. It can be argued that some members may have gotten over emotional during this time. I don't think that list of members is restricted to Moolah and Jelly Bean.

I am not sure if I agree with the deleting of their accounts. I thought things were getting better after last night. Did something happen between last night and this morning? I thought that things were healed. Is there something more in the background that I am not aware of?

Anyway I agree with this. We all contributed to the endless obsession that they were on. They were on a crusade and they didn't know how to stop. At times we poured oil on it and fanned the flames. I am sorry to see them gone.

To addredd breeze's comment: Sounds like the Jelly Bean and Moolah made it so you could not have fun anymore. Fun and serious threads were started but hijacked and overcome by the incessant "Did too", Did not" of those two.

ImaHeadaU, Jelly Bean and Moolah refused to get unemotional to the point that others could not hold any other conversation without the interuptions I mention above. It gets very frustrating and that drives people nuts. It is good to get emotional about issues but not to the point that you can't step back nor talk about anything else. The fact that they kept dropping it on all of us (the non-admin) of this forum is rediculous. It gets old.

Hey, I agree. I sat back and watched it knowing that they were pissing in someone else's house...as guests. Even though this place is just a cyber forum, some folks take it more serious than others.

It is hard not to get involved when they cannot contain themselves. You talk about fishing and they would hijack the topic to beat their drums. They took one word or phrase, made it personal and beat their drum.

I liked both of them but in the final days there was hardly a thread which hadn't be hijacked and turned into a nightmare. It was no fun coming here anymore. To some extent I think they might have been wronged early on but Good Grief, eventually I thought they'd get over it. Life ain't fair! Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug. I'm not happy about the way it ended but it had to end!

I think one reason why some people left was that it seemed they had taken over the entire board to achieve their goal. I found it kind of rude, especially after so many folks pleaded for them to stop because they were tired of hearing about it. Big turn-off!

Moolah on that first night. He burned many bridges that night, and I lost respect for him then too. I saw admin trying to heal the wound MANY, MANY times. Jelly continued to attack anybody that made a post, in any thread

:yeahthat

I like both of them, but they both went off the deep end. If they had kept it to one thread or the admin area there would not be a problem. The way I see it is Moolah can not admit when he is wrong and that is why he could not let it die. He may not have been wrong in the beginning, but once he pushed it too far he couldn't stop.

I think Jelly is his friend and was acting out of loyalty. I may be wrong but that is the way it looked to me.

For the record. I had stopped coming here as much and was about to leave also.
I agree with admins desion and think it will be better for the board.

No pushing here. I've no call do delete or demand anything that isn't porn or any such as desribed in the simple rules.

Folks are free to do as they think best. I'd simply like to see folks talk about current events in the world instead of Soap Opera stuff.
