You need to learn how to play the 10 penny game with the children before you go behind those closed doors. First, you take NINE (9) pennies and put them in your hand. The you take the kids out in the lawn and open your hand and show them the pennies, but not so long that they can count them. Then you throw them out into the grass and tell them that when they find all TEN (10) pennies they can come into the house and you will give them all a quarter each, but not until they find them all. Now you can go back behind closed doors and play FP and score a touch down or more and when done, you go out in the yard again, with the other penny in your hand and slowly drop it in the grass where you can find it. Then you ask the little ones if they have found all the pennies yet. Of course they haven't, so you offer to help. Then you get down on all fours and say: "look what I found!" and for that you all get a quarter. Try it, it worked everytime for me and I really loved playing FB and keeping the game even on scoring!!!!! How you all don't mind me joining in for a cup of tea every now or then..... |

Okay, 10 penny game is a good idea. What if the kids already "know", meaning they have walked in or overheard you and then they ask you all those questions and as soon as you are in the kitchen with your husband/wife because you're fixing dinner together you hear this lil' voice going "Are you doing the smootchie stuff again"? Then what do you do? When they're suspicious all the time, how do you .................get rid of them for a while? |

Oh my Gaaawwd Jack, I thought my father was the one who made up that game. He used to do that to my brother and I back in the early 60's when he came home from the gulf. We would be out in the yard for hours on end looking for that penny. But then again, after I married, I finally figured out what he meant when he said I started out as sparkle in his eye. No wonder my mom would laugh her head off. 3rofl 3rofl 3rofl 3rofl 3rofl 3rofl 3rofl 3rofl 3rofl 3rofl 3rofl 3rofl |

Guess your Dad and I took the same class back then Silent Angel. Was back in the late 50's when I first started using it. Married in 1952 and still married to my darling Bride. Got four beautiful daughters out of that 10 penny game. Sure do thank you kind ladies for letting this gent talk to you now and then and not send me to the kitchen to make more tea. But, if you all need any, just say the word. I was raised to always treat a Lady with respect and from what I read, you all are fine Ladies..... |

Jack you ol' sly dog! now still on that subject, Ladies, my sweetie and I just "go feed the cows" Sometimes you feed'em in the barn, sometimes you load the hay up and go feed'em on the back 40. And a smart farmer NEVER cuts all the thickets off his place! |

Hubby just got a new car and I can't wait! The radio continues to play even after you turn it off, the seat adjusts 12 different ways, and it has a sunroof. Let me tell you, first chance I get to dump the kids off at my parents.....well, you know! Been thinking aobut this all weekend. I don't get an hour of FP before hand, but you know, what I got, I LIKE, so I won't go stirring things up. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Well, hubby sure aint' broke so we will leave well enough alone! |
