there's some proximity stuff here:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I love how at the very end of the ep, Goren gives Eames this little "we got em!" smirk, like the equivalent of a high five. Sometimes I feel so happy for them that they succeeded in the case, I want to see more celebratory emotion! like, "nice job, partner!" or something slightly less cheesy perhaps... it's all in the eyes I suppose. Ef's Closing Statements on Season One: love, love, LOVE this season. the quality is through the roof, there was not a bad ep. Goren and Eames are simply fascinating. Ship wise, there is absolutely something already there. The attraction and friendship that I believe surfaced sometime around episode 11 was sustained all the way through the rest of the season, consistently. In one word, I describe this season as downright flirty. |

One of my favorite shipper tells from S1 is in this episode. When they are getting on that lear jet and Goren says "It's a tight fit" and Eames says immediately "It's good for me", that's bad enough. But if you pay attention to Goren's facial reaction to that statement, I think it's loaded. He stares at her for a couple of seconds, like surprised. Then he turns to the pilot for a second, then his head whips back around to Eames and he gives her the Spock eyebrow. See:

Oh yes, I know that look well from a flirtatious male co-worker or two (and there are plenty when your workplace is 90 percent male). I know just what I'm doing when I throw the double entendre out there, and they always rise to the occasion (heh heh). I do not make these statements to men I consider unattractive, so Alex knew exactly what she was doing. |

yeah there was definitely something I liked about this scene, but I couldn't put my finger on an accurate interpretation so I didn't mention it... but I'm glad you did! Is this actually innuendo, or are we reading too much into it? when you put it that way, it's downright suggestive & shippy, but... I kinda thought at first she was just making a quip about her size, and he was smiling at her because he thought it was cute... you know, how he often laughs/smiles at her jokes... sometimes he looks at her longer than other times.... or maybe it's both... like, he smiles because it's funny, and then the second time he looks back at her and does the eyebrow thing, it's because he realized the possibly dirty meaning. UGH I just WANT TO KNOW!! |
