let's examine the evidence. I realize it's not a cheery topic. Or particularly shippy. But I think it will help us understand Eames, and subsequently the BA dynamic. I'm not trying to glamorize or celebrate such a subject. Abuse of any kind is absolutely atrocious, and my heart breaks for all who endure it in life. all I'll put in this post (others here are much more knowledgeable on this theory) is my findings so far in season 1 that could possibly support this. -> first noticed in Jones, she seems more bothered by these particular murders than usual. -> Homo Homini Lupis: she "could see it" in Maggie's face, that she had been raped, every "bone in her body" told her this. sounds like she knows because, well, she knows. -> in Yesterday, when Sally is with them in the interview room, and they are pushing her to talk about Lippman's abuse of her at the college dorm. Alex puts her hand on Sally's arm after the interview is done, and says "Thank you. I know this wasn't easy." her face sorta crinkles/winces or something, like in Loyalty2 when she says "you're the best..." ![]() she says this statement to Sally very strong and sternly, idk it just seems like she means she KNOWS it wasn't easy. there's also at least 2 other instances this ep where she is visibly very agitated by the subject matter. |

there's something here in "Faith" too. I think it's about the time when they're talking about the alleged abuse of "erica", there's a "you don't want to know what I think" comment to the saleswoman at a jewelry store when she says the inscription is romantic (to which Goren gives Eames quite the look). idk, it just looked like it meant something, like it makes the audience wonder, "what does she think?" what would she say? hmm. |
