Ahhh, "art that makes you think". This, only the second episode, is one of the foundations of my girlfriend's belief in The Ship.

Eames and Goren went from being not really connected in One (you can't actually tell if they like each other for sure). Goren is almost borderline confrontational at times ("okay, but does it bother you?"). Eames didn't seem to know him very well.

We go from that to "I suppose you like all the sweaty, naked people in the room next door". And it's not just that the statement is loaded, but during this particular dialogue, get a load of Bobby's face. They've already established their facial sign language thing. He's watching the approach of the art gallery lady over her shoulder and Eames is watching his eyes to gauge where the lady is... and Eames is positively beaming at him, obviously very comfortable teasing him about racy subject matter already.

At the end of "A Person of Interest", Bobby bought some scones...

I always thought Nicole sent those scones to Bobby. I imagined it was a gesture to say something like "I'm running away but we aren't finished yet!"

i have a question about the in episode time stamps:

season one is not set out 'chronologically' and i wonder where 'one' falls in real time?

i have to go back and start over. again. lol. (oh no! poor me!) seems i was starting at the beginning this time last year, too.
and i want to say that i was coming to the same conclusion as Paulie's g.f. and i agree that there is an ebb and flow to it - little 'shippy story arcs'. pretty sure that's why the mess up the broadcast order.

the season seven story arc was mostly left intact (only 'kissinger' and 'vanishing act' were reversed) and consequently it was incredibly obvious. to the glee of shippers around the world. :P

(where's that 'titles' thread? :ph43r: )

i always thought that too.

but after i read bogoalexea's post, i realized that Nicole couldn't have been 'in' on their little joke -- it is rooted in the ending of 'anti-thesis'. either Bobby or Alex had to have bought the scones. and notice that they both have scones out on paper napkins with their coffees. i say they're celebrating.

I'm on it! (I didn't start it right away after I suggested it, because I was waiting for an opinion on whether or not it was necessary/a good idea, I guess there it is!)

Aww that just sounds so cute really
I shouldn't of concluded though that Bobby bought it; it could of been either one of them or both together...
I haven't actually noticed those cones on their desk  and I like it how Bobby offered Deakins and Carver part of the party (lol) Always makes me giggle :D

and the whole "art that makes you think" thing. That was one of the earlier instances of this.

Oh yeah, Idk if that's what you were talking about but in "Shrink Wrapped" (season 3) Eames brings up that actual quote "is that what you mean by art that makes you think?"... Though it was really not the same naughty art as our famous moment in "Art" however I always thought she was referring to that earlier moment... If she was, there we go with another example of the writers 'memories'.

And in "The Posthumous Collection" I love it when Bobby was looking at those drawings (which accentuated the female shapes), Eames asked him "do you find them inspiring?" (lol)

Speaking of Bobby looking at the celebration of 'inspiring female shapes' as an art form, let's not forget how he watched the 'celebration of intimacy' (vs. "none of that pneumatic grinding" in the soft core porn he bought to watch in "Want".

That always cracks me up. I have to wonder if he put in a chit for it too, like he did for the lunch voucher. The looks he got when he said "they're mine" about the dvds was pretty funny.
