There's definitely some truth in this. From what I've seen, many women really go for funny men (this is pretty obvious). The opposite doesn't follow so obviously but I know of several men (myself included) who like the idea of a partner who can be a mental sparring partner, so to speak. I don't think I can date anyone for a significant period of time if they're not able to at least hold their own in a piss-ripping contest.

That said, I appear to be an exception to the specific rule put forward in the article. A woman who can make me laugh is on the right track.
