I saw Ecopoeia's Guardian article too - stuff like MPH's statement "ignoring our ownership of the event and our key messaging" strikes me as absurdly arrogant, as if the only thing wrong in the world was poverty and theirs is the perfect and only solution, completely ignoring all the causes that seem to be regular emplacements at G8 summits and the like. Even climate change appears to be being pushed aside, as well as the original anti-poverty message that it wasn't just a case of MEDCs not doing enough to be part of the solution, but that our governments and our systems are actually part of the problem.
