'Mr Bush has said he will select a replacement that the nation deserves and "Americans can be proud of".'

Your definition of 'American' may vary.

He also called Bolton an excellent diplomat and a superb candidate for UN ambassador. *shrug*

I have a feeling that no matter who he picks the Democrats will try to block it.

Well, I'd support somebody like Allyson Duncan, Frank Easterbrook, Alex Kozinski, Richard Posner, or Ed Prado, who are moderate conservative judges from various circuit courts. I wouldn't have any major objections to an intelligent, independent somewhat conservative judge. I'd also support non-judges like Sen. Lindsay Graham or ex-Senator Alan Simpson (of course, they claim not to want it).

At least the ones who've been blocking pretty much ever other person he's nominated for positions so far.

Who cares? I'm still counting up to 22 years here, folks. At the end of which, the Bush Dynasty falls.

Yep, I believe this is what Nostradamus foresaw, and we're the bad guys. I can live with it.

Oh noes! Blocking pseudo-fascists from taking over the last branch of government not controlled by the Christian Right. Bad Democrats, Bad!

The fact that Goober would "support" conservative judges says enough about what your country has become. And you know what? As long as they do not run on the leash of the GOP and Terri Falwell and these other hate-mongerers I'll be happy with that as well.

I've been thinking of a better way to say that and I can't find one.

Oppositions to Bush's decisions usually involves more than the fact that he calls himself a Republican. Especially from people outside the US -like me- who couldn't give a damn about party lines.

Now, here's my idea for O'Connor's replacement:
