http://heroes-of-rokugan.com/index.php Everybody, the fourth edition of Legend of the Five Rings: The Roleplaying Game has been released, and with it, the new living campaign! I believe this is a perfect opportunity for Dragon to diversify, and participate in the sort of cooperative play experience I've been trying to emulate with the club campaign. Lo5R is also a decent system with some really good fluff, and I'd wager dollars to donuts we'd have a blast! *Also maybe we could get a convention trip with school funding.* Anyway, I'd just like to get your feedback on it as a club. I was thinking of limiting D&D to one game a week (Fridays) plus special missions and events and the like and holding Lo5R on Mondays. It'd be a great chance to diversify and also bend the Heroes of Rokugan Campaign world over our collective knee. Did I mention they already have a working AR system that they track and take care of? Cause they do. That's kind of important. |

I'd be interested in potentially playing some L5R tabletop (being mildly aware of the thing since around 2000 or so but not owning books until a good three or four years after that), though I'd be interested in knowing just what kind of adventure foci we'd be dealing with before settling on a character concept. I really, really want to play a Scorpion courtier, though! Even if the 4th edition book is a little on the crap side in mentioning what the deal with the masks is (I had to go to a freakin' Wikia written entirely in past tense, for shame). I also don't really have a preference as to whether or not club-run stuff "counts" for Heroes of Rokugan so long as we get game time in. |

I'm interested in this, too. I don't know what kind of character I want to make, but I know I've been looking into a Crab samurai. Haven't decided on which family he'd be from, but there's always Hida if I can't think of something, eh? |

I'm interested as well, I'm thinking of a ronin. Even have a crest for him to rub in all the nobles faces. I should specify, I've been looking at focusing on Void and Iajutsu for dueling.

So I finally got around to building my guy, and he's very much a Scorpion (which means he's kind of a weiner). He's a courtier who knows his way around a samisen, rocks a set of war fans, and has got a little bit of a problem with ghosts. I anticipate his expression being a pretty much constant grin. I've already got a sketchbook page dedicated to designing his mask. Also did the daimyo thing and swore him to Yuma province, because the detail about feathers from the wiki sounded neat. Who else has a samurai rolled up? Edited by Ashley, Apr 17 2011, 04:25 AM.

I do!^^ I'm a tattooed monk, of the Hitomi family. As this is a living campaign, non-club stuff will count too as long as it adheres to the campaign standards. Edit: David is going to be your partner in trolling, btw. He's got a Soshi Shugenja. Edited by Dragon_Paragon, Apr 17 2011, 02:24 PM.

Another Scorpion guy? Awesome. We'll be Pincer Pals. Cid's made his Crab dude, so we can have TRIO THE PINCH. |
