Club elections are coming up! I'm going to be running for President, I hope my long months of service and charming (?) personality have been enough to sway y'all to vote for me. I also suggest anybody who plans on opposing to sleep with one eye open and develop an immunity to crowbars. Jokes aside, anybody is free to run for any position. Matt Forch is the current Treasurer, and James Taylor is the current Vice President. The Triad currently consists of James and myself, meaning there is an opening on it if anybody feels like being a rules lawyer. Open positions are: Club Secretary Card Game Director War Game Director Club officership comes with a number of responsibilities (Have a campaign currently through the club, do you job) and a few perks (Get to pick out a few books for the club library, get to see the smiling faces of fellow nerds?). Questions? |

Heya, Dragon. My name is Matt Forsch, and I'm currently the treasurer for the DRAGON club. I figure I should do the whole introduce yourself thing, even though most of y'all have met me before. I've been a member of the club for pretty much a year, now. I'm a Junior at UNR, seeking a BA in Chemistry. I haven't been doing the tabletop thing for very long, but I really enjoy it. So far, I've been running a D&D 4th Edition game, and I'd love to get that on a more accessible time -- right now, people's schedules are making it a little difficult to really nail down. Aside from D&D, I have an extensive library of Paranoia XP, Shadowrun (3 and 4), and Changeling: The Lost books. We also have a couple of the Dark Heresy / Rogue Trader books. As for what I bring to the club as treasurer: Currently, not all that much, as we hadn't really needed a treasurer until this semester due to OrgSync / ASUN difficulties. That said, I've been to an ASUN budget hearing and know the general protocol of such (debates of the unit price of Crazy Sauce). If I had to pick a favorite die size, it'd be a d4. Because you can stick them to your forehead. |

I vote Ed for president. Also (in reference to the crowbar immunity): Regeneration (Ex) Fire and acid deal normal damage to gd1. If gd1 loses a limb or body part, the lost portion regrows in 3d6 minutes. gd1 can reattach the severed member instantly by holding it to the stump. Edited by gd1, Nov 2 2010, 05:37 PM.

What are the responsibilities of club secretary? Edit: I laughed at the subtitle. Edited by rejectedreality, Nov 2 2010, 05:56 PM.

So, quick question. Are only "official" (i.e. current-student-at-UNR) members able to run for office, or is it anyone's running? |

Card Games. This vote is for the current funding period, not forever. We'll just do card games next semester. Only "official" members can actually hold office, but if you really want to put in the work I am not gonna say no. |

Well i know the two most popular cardgames around enough to teach them and i can learn any other card game pretty quick so i think i'll toss my hat into the ring for card game director. |

They're over? Do we have a War Games secretary? I have experience with a few systems (and am biased, of course), but I'd love to put in the work if that's still available. |
