'Of course you're sorry, woman.' he snapped. 'Stupid wench.'

Eyrin guplped, but did not resist as he forced himself on top of her, breathing angrily into her ear. He grabbed at her collar, tearing the material of her dress open.

'Just like old times.' he said with a twisted smile.

The *Tango*ing bastard.

He jumped upward, and in mid air, with a large explosion, sent himself flying at them while on fire. He cleanly knocked the man off, accelerating his shoulder into his kidneys. He hit the back wall rather hard, although he had transfered a good portion of his motion into the man. He started to get up...

Eyri sat in the corner, curled up where she'd scuttled after Sumo Sniper came hurtling in. She blinked, and watched him stand up, a slight char mark on the ground.

Fire.

She bit her bottom lip.

Now there would be trouble.

He got up, if a bit shakily, but quickly recovered himself as he ran to Eryi.

"We have to get out of here quick." He said as he pulled her up. Holding her up he ran through the door and looked around for a way out.

Eyrin clutched her dress about her, and followed the assassin out.

This stunk too much of what had already been. Herself, setting fire to a part of the forest by accident... the village coming after her... she'd seemingly been let off, and then been sent to Quievere.

Now this.

She ran.

He ran close to her. He asumed she knew where she was going, and he heated up alot as he ran. Then next person to do anything would be vaporised.

"You know where you're going, right?"

Eyrin shook her head. She was running, she didn't know what else to do. Imelkah, who had spoken to her before, had summoned the village to chase after them. The gates had been closed. She threw herself against the iron bars, unable to go any futher.

'No idea.' she said softly, as the villagers closed in.

"Oh, there's a way out."

Standing in front of Eryi, he put his hands out in front of him and started throwing flames everywhere. They were surrounded by fire, and that's what he wanted. It gave them some time.

"There are a couple of ways to go about this. We can explode over the gates or we can try to melt them. I don't know this village, so I don't know what would work. Quick!"

Like all good villagers, Eyrin was scared of fire. She looked at it all about her, and sat in a mess of fear.

'I don't know.... anything! Just get me away from here!'

Ah well, it was worth a shot. He went up to Eryin just as the flames were starting to be watered down. He held on to her tightly, and with an explosion, they flew up into the air. With another small one he went across and landed on the other side, still holding Eryi very tightly.

"That'll teach you to go back again."

Eyrin shook more than a little in his arms, hardly daring to trust her feet on the ground, lest it not be solid.

'I thought... I thought it might work out.' she wavered. 'I guess that isn't home anymore...'

"With the treatment you got, I don't see exactly how that could have been unclear before we got there." He said, shaking his head. He was a bit disappointed in her for assuming that they would suddenly accept her differently.

As the villagers brought down the flames and started to get near the gates, he let go of Eryi, sprinted and grabbed her weapon, then came back and shoved it into her hand. "Put it whereever the hell you hide that thing."

But as the gates started to open, he realised there was no time, and grabbed the still shocked Eryi. As an afterthought, he started fires in the forest next to the gates. "Hold on." He couldn't run holding her. It was back to the flying.

With an explosion, holding Eryi infront of him, they flew forward fast. He just had to hope he didn't fail. As they shot along, he set the surrounding forest on fire, not really meaning to.

It was starting to feel strange, he couldn't keep it up for long seeing as he'd only recently started to use his magic again. He recognised the area where he'd put his stuff, turned in midair to shield Eryi, and stopped with an explosion. He set her down, hoping she wasn't too shaken to stand up, and ran behind the tree, go his stuff, and climbed up the tree to get the other dagger. He jumped from the tree right down in front of Eryi.

"I can't keep flying us home as we are, but the fires will hold them off." He stopped, realising he was going a bit fast for Eryi, it had been only a couple of minutes ago that he had broken the ribs and hopefully kidney of the man.

'Okay....' she said quietly, still very shaken.

I can't keep us flying home...

Flying where...?

She sighed. She'd been stupid.

He looked sadly at Eryi. It must of been a real shock for her.

He hugged her tightly.

"It's ok to give people a second chance. It's not your fault all that happened back there."

'They didn't deserve it at all...' she sighed. 'I thought things would change, I... I don't know what I was thinking. They're my kind, my people.. and I don't belong there anymore. I don't understand...'

What was there to not understand? Nothing really. It was clear as clear, and always had been. But that was the way things worked. She was a woman, that's how they got treated...

She'd set fire to the forest. She'd been punished. That was fair, wasn't it?

She didn't know anymore.
