He felt foolish for so extraviagantly hiding his stuff when Eryi just put it at the fence. Then again, he wasn't worried about the villagers taking it at much as a blundering bandit.

He walked in with Eryi next to him, he didn't know what to expect as he walked through the gates...

[OOC: Help me out here. :D]

Strangely enough, nothing happened. The little white huts stood quietly as always, the people of the small village worked about her. Occasionally, a small glance was thrown her way, but nothing sinister.

Shrugging, she walked in further.

Keeping his full attention on his surroundings, he followed Eryi to wherever she was going. He wasn't used to so little defence to a villiage, and felt incredibly paranoid. He was warming up a bit from it.

"Was it always this..." He asked Eryi quietly, not being able to think of a good enough word; "un-rowdy?"

Eyri nodded slowly. They'd always been a peaceful people... to anyone else. They were not openly violent, abhorred weapons, but in their own way they were terribly cruel. The ways in which her lessons had been learnt were painful, and always in her mind.

She crossed the grassy square to one of the larger huts, stopping at the door, and kneeling before knocking. It opened shortly after, a woman much older than Eyri looking down upon her, she frowned.

'We did not expect to see you so soon.' she said coolly.

You did not expect to see me at all
... Eyrin corrected her silently.

'It was a task completed easier than I thought.' The younger woman answered meekly.

'And your findings?'

'Incomplete. There was too much to know.'

'Then why have you come back!' The older woman almost spat on Eyri's bowed head. Slowly Eyrin looked up, her eyes flicking over to Sumo Sniper.

'Because I brought one of them here.' she said quietly.

What. The. *Tango*.

Through gritted teeth, he told Eryi "Eryin, is there anything in particular you haven't told me? Because by the jist of this, I think there is." In fact, it was the first time he had called her Eryin, like a parent might a naughty child.

Except this sounded much more serious.

His fists clenched, it took all the self control he had not to light on fire and kill... someone. It was a strange feeling. It was a combination of strong magical presence, his haywire magic, and his confusion. He didn't have any idea what was going on. Did Eryi betray him? Or was she using him as an excuse to do something.

He gave the older woman a peicing glare and held it, waiting for a reaction.

'A moment, please.' Eyrin begged of the older woman, who grudgingly allowed it. Eyrin stood, and took him by the arm, leading him to a quieter part of the village.

'It's a long story.' she said in a hushed voice. 'In order to get rid of me, they can't kill me. No weapons, you see. There were ways... but they like to believe that it's always peaceful here. They sent me out to die... knowing I'd reveal myself somehow, somewhere... sent me directly to Quievere to find out the happenings of the world. And hoped I'd be executed. Just to make sure, they sent the dogs out after me...'

She sighed sadly.

'To return without having completed my task is certain death, no restrictions this time. They didn't really want to know... they want nothing of you. I hadn't planned on coming back at all.'

"This would have been more usefull to know before, because then I would have advised you that coming here was a bad idea." He was relieved at least, that Eryi had not turned traitor and that he would not have to fight his way out of a villiage full of psychopathic magic users.

"Well, we should go back there, although I don't see what you're attempting to prove to them..." He motioned the way back. He wasn't any less edgy though. Now he had a feeling something was going to happen for sure...

And fortunately, so as to not disappoint Angel, something did.

'Bad idea, perhaps... but I had to...' she shrugged defensively, before a rather large hand placed itself on her shoulder.

'Leave the man alone. You have jobs to do.' the man said coldly from behind her, pulling her back roughly by the shoulder.

He remained relativly calm.

"May I ask what occupations she has?"

'None which are any of your concern.' the man said irritably, dark eyes surveying the assasin with much distrust.

'To your post, woman.' he added coldly. Eyrin slunk away.

"Oh, I think it is." He was ready for a fight, though in hindsight, it was probably a smarter idea to bugger off and then find Eryi.

"Now I ask again, what is she to be doing?"

The man narrowed his eyes.

'She knows what she must do. It is none of your concern.' he repeated coldly.

Meanwhile, Eyrin had gone to a place formerly known as "home", and was awaiting his return. Other than cooking, cleaning, and the exception of some more important of the sorceresses, women had one place in the village.

She peered out the window, and watched the assassin argue with him.

Don't do anything stupid... she begged silently.

Contrary to what he'd usualy do, which is kill that guy, he managed to back down. A fight now was a bad thing. He turned on his heel, said "Good day, sir." and buggered off. He snuck between the houses hoping to find Eryi.

Sitting in the dark of the hut, Eyrin looked at the ground.

This is why she hadn't come back. This is why she was a stupid git.

She fiddled uselessly with the broom, dragging it across the floor. The door opened, and she sat it aside as he came back in.

'I said your post, stupid woman.' he growled. Eyrin nodded meekly, but didn't move fast enough. He grabbed her shoulders and pushed her roughly to the floor.

'Sorry..' she whimpered. 'I'm sorry...'

The villiage wasn't all that big, and he soon found the right one when he heard Eryi's voice. He took a short peek through the window to see what was going on. He ducked down.

He wasn't sure what was happening, but if he touched her one more time, he'll go in there and kill him.
