This was the one part about girls he didn't like. Baby talkish.

Tanis looked up not paying any attention to Tink. A gryphon flew past. Tanis shook his head and looked up again but it was gone, it wasn't one of his, it was different somehow. He looked back down at Tink hopeing she had stopped the annoying talk.

Tink sat straighter in Tannie's arms, covering the two dragons with her cloak as the man with the rabbit looked up.
"Uh...Hello..." she said, trying to get the dragons to sit still.

"Do you want to talk to him, or rob him or something" Tanis whispered in her ear. He stopped not paying particular attention to the man but ready for basically anything.

Tink studied the man. "No." she whispered back. "I won't rob him..."
Perhaps it was the rabbit. She didn't know. "If he talks, I'll talk. I don't know if he saw Bolt and Chiros or not."

Tanis started walking again, if he wanted to talk, he would have to make the effort. Tanis would rather skip the man completely he was ruining whatever the hell was going on between Tink and him.

Lachlan stood up, placing the rabbit back on his shoulder, he brushed the dust of his fairly grubby coat. He looked to where the dragons were, scratching the back of his head. "Err, did see them, I could provide something more effective, if you could spare a few silvers," he grinned hopefully, gesturing to mopsy, who suddenly apeared to grow draconic wings. Mopsy simply twitched her nose disinterestedly. He had know idea who these people were, traveling with dragons of fantastical creatures, but if they had even a little silver, he'd be happy.

Tink raised an eyebrow, looking at Tannie. "Damn..."
She looked at the rabbit. "Uh...We'll be fine. Thanks." she said, keeping the dragons covered.

Tanis smiled at Tink and kept on walking, purposefully ignoring the rabbit man thingy person.

He shrugged at the wings on the rabbit disolved, straightening himself up "Oh well, thankyou anyway," he bowed, and carried on his depressed and trudging way, speaking every so often to the little rabbit, hoping he'd find a job somewhere. He didn't even have enough money to rent a horse stall at an inn when he got to kiadenuf.

"Well..." Tink said lightly, once she was pretty certain the rabbit-man couldn't hear them anymore. "He was...strange."
She uncovered Bolt and Chiros, giving both a quick pat on the head.

"Yeah... but sadly i've seen a lot worse" he said half grinning. He was starting to feel an ache in his arm, but there wasn't long left. He kept walking without showing any signs of fatigue.

"Okay..." Tink said, and fell silent. She didn't really have anything else to say. So she just rested in his arms and scratched Chiros and Bolt under the chin.
"Are we nearly there yet?"

"Um i think so I'm not too sure though" he said. He rested his head on hers, he was really starting to get tired. If it wasn't coming up soon he'd fall asleep atanding up with her in his arms.

"Put me down, I'll walk the rest of the way." Tink said, looking up at him. He must have been tired...He'd been carrying her for a long time.

"No Tink, a promise is a promise" Tanis said softly. Then he started wondering back to whether he had actaully promised that, well it was too late now.

"Just don't struggle" he said softly. He knew if she struggled he may not be able to keep hold of her, she could.... he didn't want to think about it.
