Eyrin shook... she was more scared than she ever had been before, and the poker was still in the corner... 'Just... don't.' she said softly, tears forming in her eyes. 'Please don't.' |

SumoSniper softened instantly. Oh no, now she was going to start crying, and who knows what might happen then. He walked slowly back to Eryi, dropping his cloak half way there, with a lud clunk again. He wondered how many times the floor could take that. He sat next to Eryi, reached to put a hand around her, and said "Just tell me... whats on your mind, and why do you keep shifting glances to that poker?" He said, looking at the sooty old thing himself. |

Eyrin sniffed, glaring at the poker. What to do now? She didn't know. Explain? But how? She couldn't, it was that simple. 'I don't want you to leave.' she said slowly. 'But I don't want to be....' what was the word now? 'Trapped.' she stiffened as his arm moved around her, but did not move away. |

"You're not trapped. You can walk out right now, but I'd like to know why, in at least some sort of detail. You've been all mysterious." He said in a sympathetic tone. |

'Not trapped.' Eyrin hissed. 'That's what they said last time.' Slowly, she walked over to the fireplace, grabbing the poker and shoving the end of it into the coals. She sat with her back to him, cross-legged on the floor, expression unreadable. 'Of course, I got out. Eventually.' she shook her head slightly, still not facing him. It was a huge risk for Eyrin to take, but she was beyond caring. 'You know how long ago that was? How long I "wasn't trapped" for?' her tone was bordering sarcastic, as she turned the poker about in the coals. 'Seventeen years, Angel.' she answered her own question. 'Seventeen years of being told I could "just walk out right now"!' she took out the red hot poker, turning around to face Angel. 'And always being punished for trying.' she finished. 'Or for anything else. Too short, too tall, the world was round and who's fault was it? Ah yes, sorry, that was mine. I'll try better next time.' she put the poker down, leaning it against the stone fireplace, and sat back down in front of the fire. 'Don't tell me I'm not trapped.' |

Angel was ready to draw his Katars as Eryin turned holding the poker. What the gods name is wrong with her? "Oh sure. Thanks for clearing it up, I understand everything now." He said with the most sarcastic tone he could muster. "I'm still bloody well confuzed. Now could you get out of emotional trauma land and clear up who was keeping you so bloody trapped for 17 years? I can tell you yer not trapped, because I'm not this person or people who yer talkin' about. Alright. Calm down, and give me a bit o' history." |

'What are you going to do if I tell you, Angel?' she asked him softly. 'You can do no good, it's history. You're all the same, you all lie.' She sighed, staring morosely into the fire. 'You can tell me now, that you aren't like them, that I'm not trapped.' she turned slightly to face him. 'But I am, aren't I?' she said, with a sick laugh. 'I am. You could be every bit as sick, and twisted, and cruel, and downright horrible as they were, and you know what? I'd still be here. The fool I am.' 'I won't let you touch me, because I'm scared you'll hurt me, and terrified that you wont. Petrified that I might somehow become attatched to you, it's easier to run from someone you fear. Much harder to run when you don't want to. I live in fear that you don't feel the same, and yet the thought that you might chills me to the bone. I don't want you to become like them, but I can see it's all too possible.' she shivered, wrapping her arms around her knees, still gazing into the fire. 'It doesn't matter anyway.' she sighed. 'Because I'm trapped. It doesn't matter how you say it, I'm still trapped. Congratulations. I'm not going anywhere.' |

"Oh, thats a bit friggin harsh you know. Some guys are arses, granted. What have I done other than be nice to you so far?" He sighed. This was goddamn difficult. Really, he had no idea why he was still here. He should go now, if she was so goddamn trapped, he should just go. Let her think over it. "Look I can't take this trapped thing of yours. You're paranoid, I understand that now. But I've got places to see, people to do." He loved that saying. It only worked as an Assassin. He stood, put his cloak back on. "You think about this trapped thing of yours. I'm not gonna be far. And if you feel you are comfortable telling me about it, then do it. Otherwise, keep away from me, because you seem to be only hurting yourself." He walked to the door, opened it, then turned as he closed it, looking at Eryi with a forlorn expression. He walked to his room, opened it up, and went in. He needed to think. *THUNK* He heard something like a rusty flail hitting a brick wall. It reverberated through the tavern, and he felt it. He looked out the window, thinking someone was trying to force themselves in. Nope, it was Tink, Illi, and 3 guys. It looked like Tink was hurt. Even though she seemed quite well backed up, he thought he might as well go down to watch. He opened the door and walked out, locking the door and drawing his Katars. |
