OOC: bahahaha! I am back from a 3 week hiatus which I failed to notify you guys of. Meh, sorry. I forget where Illi was, and I think I'll post for Zakeb a bit later.

Illi got up from her chair and made her way over to the bar, slumping into a seat none to gracefully. The mercenary in training, stretched her arms out in front of her, gazing blandly at her leather fingerless gloves. Water magic crackled obviously around her, to anyone with even slight magic sensing abilities it was clear that she currently lacked control for one reason or the other.

She turned to the simply garbed stranger next to her, rather bluntly giving him the once over, not even trying to make it look subtle. Her gaze then slid to the empty vessel before him and she nodded in recognition. She thought for a moment, what harm could it do? She held out a hand to him, offering a handshake "Illi," she proclaimed rather plainly, "'N ye, if I may ask?".

Zephyr looked at the newcomer, recognizing the clothing, and answered the handshake.

"Zephyr. Forgive me, but might I ask your business?"

"None really, business has been rather dry for a while," reaching over her left shoulder with her right hand she touched the hilt of one of her sabers lightly, shrugging carelessly, "Although, teh last few days 'ave been quite a bi' more ten interesting," she grinned in a rather pleasant way.
Illi ordered a drink, placing a few silver coins on the benchtop. "'N wot brings ye to this neck o' the woods, if'n I may ask," she picked lazily at the benchtop with her finger, somewhat bored, she stifled a yawn with her other hand, waiting for the mans reply.

Zephyr leaned back and sighed.

"Just returning to some old stomping grounds, looking for a job. This place used to be full of people begging for help, but it seems to have been drawn dry. I'm rather bored really..."

Some minutes ago, Ekki had returned and was now contentedly sipping on his water, mildly bored. Suddenly remembering his pack, he retrieved it and began to dig through it. A few moments later, he pulled out his fiddle and bow, and began to pluck the strings, tuning.

'Sharp, sharp, flat, ok. Sharp, ok...,' he mumbled, until all five strings were in tune. He began to play a light tune to pass the time.

"Oh! Ekki the multi-talented!" Tink said without thinking. "Oh! Um...You know what I mean..." She gestured to the fiddle.
"Me and my big mouth..." she muttered to herself. "You're better than that minstrel who won't leave me alone, anyway." she said, waving her hand vaguely where she'd last seen Ernie, unconscious on the floor.

OOC: Ekki, I'll just asume that Ekki is sitting fairly close to Illi, that ok?

Illi nodded at Zephyr "I'm no' tae versed in the ways o' this place, not been round 'ere to long really," she grinned "Tends ter be pretty interestin' company a'round this 'ere bar, though," she grinned.

She turned her head in Ekki's direction blinking slightly at what he was doing "Like this fine chap 'ere," she grinned patting her friend on the head "Yer such a sop, my mouldy ole friend," giving him a playful jab in the middle, aiming to cause him to slip while bowing.

He gave a small smile to Tink at her comment. 'Thanks. It's just something of a hobby, though. 'M not too good yet.'

Ekki then winced as Illi's jab caused his hand to slip, and created an ugly note to rent the air. He gave a knowing shrug to Tink before pouting, and he mock-glared at his childhood friend.

'I ain't mouldy. I'm just... finely aged, is all. Like a good cheese, y'hear?' He replied pretentiously before he recognised the slight drawl in his voice. He busied himself with his fiddle in an attempt to quash the familiar alien feeling in him. T'would not be good if more found out.. And it's Illi, Thormpe! Get a grip...

Tink chuckled. "Whatever." she said, and fell silent.
She looked around the tavern once more, bored, wanting something to do. Forgetting about Zephyr, she went and pinched a few coins from a new drunk.

ooc: hehe, she'd have picked it up? If not, the slight change in voice? Meh, dunno

Illi grinned as the ear rotting note spilled from his instrument. She paused to watch Ekki slightly concerned, she'd grown up with him, and found she understood him... most of the time.
"Cheese is good, hehe, mouldy is good fer cheese though, so ye're most certainly mouldy," she said, leaning over and giving him a side, one arm hug around the shoulders "Ye're allright, aren't ye?" she said to him, just loud enough for him to hear

Ekki gave a small nod and relaxed visibly. The feeling had quieted down.

'Think Black got excited,' he replied just as quietly. 'I'm ok now, though.' He gave his friend a wan smile. Sometimes he hated this.

Illi drew back, ruffling his hair in a friendly manner. She felt truly sad for her unfortunate friend "Drinks on me," she pronounced to the small group gathered at the the table "Iffn ye like,"

Zakeb swaggered, somewhat not quite as smooth as usual, still rather pale looking and his hair had not completely returned to it's original white(is pale green) "Does that include me?," he purred silkily, sitting himself down next Ekki. He turned to face him "Wots this? Yer grey now," he blinked somewhat baffled, he'd never come across anything quite like this in his studies. He added so only Ekki could hear, lest there were anyone a little to interested in magic hanging around "Yer a rather volatile mix buddy, dark 'n light," he paused for a moment thinking "Rather irregular, not sure I'd wan teh find out why it is so..." he left the sentence open, being horribly intrusive.

Illi looked over the small group, not noticing Zakeb's interaction with Ekki "Any other takers?" she said, gathering a few silver coins already.

Ekki looked at Zakeb over the rim of his glass, his blue eyes scrutinising the herbalist.

'I'll leave it to find out, if you really want to know. I'm sure you're astute enough.' He rolled his eyes, though a slight stir in the pit of his stomach troubled him. Hurriedly, he turned to Illi, 'Whatever you're having Il,' he said to her, trying to ignore his discomfort.

Zephyr looked up, and declined the offer of the drink.

"No thanks. Being in the company of a thie...ahem...an acquirer of fine items is not the best time to befuddle my wits."

Zephyr found himself quite amused by the exchange of the group in front of him. He was learning quite a bit...

OOC: I'm still figuring this char out .. bare with me ..

A strange figure sat at the bar, one leg crossed over the other. The legs, and lock of dark hair that had fallen over the face, suggested that this was a woman. The person was slight in frame, but their shoulders were broad, and suggested they were more masculine than they first appeared.

Though it couldn't be seen, Ebona's face was fair, but the fair of a boy not yet in his teens. Slightly girlish, but obviously male.

Boredly, he swilled his drink around. Juice .. Ebona didn't drink.

His wings were flat against his back under his cloak. Gossimer wings .. honestly. The male fae weren't given any sort of dignity at all!
