Tink took a swipe at Ekki, eyes still closed. "Don't have a room. Don't have a house, either. Just leave me in a ditch somewhere...and put some branches and stuff over me so people can't see me..."

Ekki gaped in disbelief at Tinks lack of care for fer condition. Looking around, for some sort of room for Tink to sleep in. Finding nothing of the sort, Ekki sighed and booted whatever religous fanatics and boozehounds were in one corner, and motioned Tink to come. 'I can keep watch if ye'd like, while you sleep.'

Tink chuckled tiredly, and basically sleep-walked over to the corner where Ekki was waiting.
"Thanks Ekki...You're too nice to me..."
She curled up on the floor, having a bit of trouble getting comfortable.
"But...A ditch would have been fine..." she mumbled, as she fell asleep.

Ekki sat in the chair for a while, eying anyone who came near the corner warily. Deciding to risk it, he fished his chalk out of a pocket, and started drawing the geometric patterns on the floor around her. Barrier. Concealment. Repulsion, Ekki mentally ticked off, before finishing the circle, and channelled some energy into the lines. All that could be seen of the corner now was an inky darkness, and the non-magic patrons of the bar veered around it when they ventured too close. Ekki sat down in his chair, slightly out of breath.

Tink slept on. It was a deep sleep, without dreams. She didn't even wake up while Ekki chalked the lines on the floor. Chiros, however, poked his head out of her pocket, letting out a squeak.
"?" he puffed in smoke.
Tink stirred slightly, but didn't wake up.

ooc: I've taken a creative liberty. Ekki can see through his own concealment thingo. The word will come to me in a moment. ^^;;

Ekki looked up from the floor to see Chiros crawl out of Tink's pocket. Looking at it quizzicly, he started as it blew out a puff of smoke.

'I didn't know Tink had a dragon,' Ekki murmered, not sure whether or not Chiros would aprecciate him touching him.

Chiros waddled up to Ekki. It wasn't the bad Ekki, it was one of the good Ekki's.
He puffed out a smoke "!", wondering if he could get somebody to teach him words. "!?!"
He squeaked.

ooc: Got to go. May be on sometime tomorrowish.

Ekki scrawled the signals of the smoke on the ground with his chalk, thinking Chiros was speaking in some sort of code. 'Woah, slow down there, dragon,' Ekki muttered as part of his chalk broke off.

Chiros bounced around what Ekki had written on the floor, letting out a long, continuous stream of !!!!!'s. Then, as the chalk snapped, he picked it up in his mouth and began to write them all over the place. He then looked pointedly at Ekki, then at the written symbols. Then, as an afterthought, he looked back into the corner.

Tink still slept.

'Errr.. You want me to write?' Ekki queried. God, I'm not good with animals...

Chiros bounced higher, making even louder squeaking noises. He held the chalk at the ready, waiting to copy whatever Ekki wrote. He hoped Ekki got the point.

In the corner, Tink rolled over onto her bad shoulder, and woke up with a loud string of curses that would make Greldik Bottlebeard blush.
Then, she immediately slumped back to the floor, asleep again.

Ekki smiled slightly. 'I'll take that as a yes.' Pausing, he wrote Tink on the floor, and pointed to where she slept. 'That says Tink.'

Continuing, he wrote Illi, Tanis and Ekki in turn, pointing to the latter and former.

Chiros rapidly scribbled Tink on the floor, studied the letters, and then puffed them in smoke. "T I N K !!"
He then did the rest. "I L L I!! T A N I S!! E K K I!!"
Chiros squeaked happily.
He rushed over to Tink, impatient to show her his newfound skill. He nudged her.
Slowly, Tink opened one eye. "Chiros...What?"
Chiros gleefully puffed her name in smoke.
"WHAT?!"
Tink sat up straight, losing her balance and hitting the back of her head on the wall. "How did you...?"
She watched in fascination as he puffed out, "E K K I!"

Ekki smiled ingratiatingly, and waved his chalk. 'Want to teach him something?'

Tink dragged herself out of the corner, seeing strange little symbols chalked all over the floor.
She raised an eyebrow at Ekki. "Your doing?" she asked, and then saw the names written on the floor.
Chiros dropped a piece of chalk in her hand. Kneeling down, she crossed out the name, 'Tanis'. Chiros looked at her, confused. Above the crossed out name, she wrote instead, "Tannie."
Chiros let out a squeak, and smoked the name. "T A N N I E!!"
Tink grinned. "That's going to annoy him, for sure!"
