Children, Do you know why we are here today?
Flooz, can you tell me? "to look at people's names?"
No, Tribal? because you want to annoy the piss out of us??
...No, omen? :ph43r: "because you are going to read us a story and do things to us while we are having a drugged milk induced nap time?"
. . .Dark can you tell me why we are here? "to see what codes are on the site?"
Sort of but that isn't all. Yots, you try <_< "Because certain codes like the forum skin changer by ryan fan don't allow us to put in the needed copyright that the skin makers made for each skin, or the legal copyright as required by law in cases of the images we are constantly stealing without asking. So you made this forum as a way to save our board from deletion from angry coders."
*Breaks a sweat* A..v-verry coplete answer yots. Go get a treat. . .
Yes, well I couldn't put all the copyrights from the skins since they weren't fromt he css. And technically we do need to ask permission before using or editing any images. So the legal stuff is going here since we don't want our board deleted from someone reporting copyright infringement. So start asking people when you take a profile pic. Avatars and signatures are different I think. But to be on the safe side that kind of thing goes here.

I am sorry to all the skin creators from phantom designs and IFSkinZone, I am trying to fix the problem but for now this was the best I could do.

...people got mad that you used their stuff to make our site better?... that's sad. Why do you put it on the Internet if you don't want people to use it, so you can let other people look at it while you're like 'haha yeah it's mine not yours!'....

Seems kinda dumb.

Its a credit issue. People who make codes put the copyright within the code, so they aren't the big issue, people who make skins put copyright in the skins, they are the issue. If you don't put the copyright in it is assumed that it was hacked. People put long hours into making these things so that other people will use them and like them and hopefully the maker gets credit and becomes famous. Thats why people in the IF community recognize names like godkillah and slayer766 because of all their amazing codes. It is illegal to claim something as your own when it isn't and it pisses people off. When the copyright isn't in place for a skin or code it is taken offensively and regarded as stealing. Its like editing the water mark out of images. if you scroll down and look at the bottom of the page you will see the credits of a man called duveax. He is smart enough to put the copyright to his skin within the CSS so it actually shows up with the skin changer code.
