It all depends on what you're facing If you're confident you can grind out your opponent and will be steadfast, go horde If you need to hold on for as long as possible and/or need to do character shenanigans, go 5-wide |

The bell unit is unbreakable, no need for steadfast. |

It depends. The more ranks you have, the more models you'll get into base contact. So how many do you want in base contact? Are you more worried about losing the pushers, and therefore the mobility, or losing the bell itself, or the Grey Seer on it? Are you worried about a flank or rear attack? - Thin the ranks and push the 'back' so the bell is protected. Do you want more attacks? - Go Horde wide. Do you absolutely, positively want the bell out of combat? - Go so wide that "maximum models in base contact" means he's 2 ranks away from the bell ((normally this requires a frontage of at least 16) Most of this depends on what's happening on the table as you play, and it's what seperates a Great General from a General with a Great List. |

I was actually referring to Vermins without the Bell A Bell is a terrible idea in competitive events (if you can't "choose" your opponent ETC-style) because of cannons |
